Senior Software Engineer- Full Stack Healthcare (Clone)

We're hiring an experienced Senior Software Engineer to build across our Go (Golang) backend and React/TypeScript frontend in a unified monorepo. You'll ship production-ready features that power workflows like CDI, DRG analysis, utilization review, and clinical queries, integrating with systems like Snowflake and FHIR/Epic along the way. Candidates with healthcare software experience and a solid grasp of security and compliance requirements will stand out.

This is an immediate need — we're actively hiring. AI-assisted development is welcome here, but it's expected to sharpen strong engineering fundamentals, not replace them.

What you'll do
Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and frontend features side by side in a single monorepo
Partner with product and domain experts on healthcare workflows: CDI, DRG analysis, utilization review, clinical queries
Integrate with Snowflake and FHIR/Epic where needed
Write automated tests, review code, and help hold the line on quality, performance, and security
Debug production issues using logs, traces, and metrics
Document key technical decisions and contribute to team runbooks
Mentor other engineers and help evolve our patterns and tooling

Nice to have: healthcare domain experience (revenue cycle, CDI, DRG/coding, utilization management, Epic/FHIR R4/SMART on FHIR); Python/FastAPI familiarity; exposure to production ML (scikit-learn, XGBoost) or Snowpark; OAuth 2.0, MFA, or FIDO2/WebAuthn experience; OpenTelemetry or similar observability tooling; Temporal or other workflow orchestration.

Process & requirements
Our interview process includes a brief intro call, a behavioral interview, a technical interview, and a final round with Senior Leadership. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. This is a fully remote role, so self-direction and discipline matter as much as technical skill.

Employment with Empower is contingent on successful completion of identity and background verification, including but not limited to identity verification, criminal background check, OIG/SAM exclusion screening, FACIS Level 3 screening, and verification of education and prior employment history. This is standard for all roles given our work in the healthcare industry.
