About the job

Founding Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) — Equity-First
0.5% – 2.0%
The Wook of Wall Street is building a member-driven financial research and education platform combining market intelligence, deep-value research, options education, sector scanning, premium content, and community insight.

Website: https://wookofwallstreet.com

Landon Campbell serves as CEO and acting CFO. Amy serves as CTO. We are seeking a founding CMO who can turn a differentiated financial platform into a recognizable, trusted, and scalable brand.

COMPENSATION AND STATUS

This is a remote, equity-first founding officer opportunity. There is no cash salary at this stage.
Any equity, vesting, future salary, bonuses, commissions, and possible future profit-sharing participation will be defined only in formal written agreements, subject to company approvals, applicable law, tax treatment, dilution, company performance, and available distributable profits.
Equity and profit-sharing are not guaranteed to have value.
Do not begin work until agreements are signed.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Build and execute the company’s brand, audience growth, launch, and go-to-market strategy.
• Establish The Wook of Wall Street as a distinctive financial education, research, and investor-community brand.
• Own positioning, messaging, content strategy, social media, email, partnerships, paid acquisition, SEO, and community growth.
• Develop measurable customer-acquisition and member-conversion funnels from awareness through Free and Premium membership.
• Build campaigns around stock education, options education, deep-value research, market analysis, and community content.
• Create a disciplined content calendar across the website, social platforms, email, video, and future mobile channels.
• Work closely with the CEO, CTO, COO, creators, designers, and strategic partners to coordinate launches and product messaging.
• Establish acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, referral, and engagement metrics.
• Build referral, affiliate, ambassador, creator, and partnership programs where appropriate.
• Develop launch campaigns for Wook Premium, research releases, educational content, new tools, and community features.
• Own brand consistency across every customer-facing touchpoint.
• Recruit and manage a lean marketing and creative team as growth justifies additional headcount.
• Build systems that can scale without creating unnecessary marketing spend or organizational complexity.

BRAND DIRECTION
The Wook of Wall Street should not look or communicate like a generic financial-adviser company, trading-guru business, or cryptocurrency promotion.

The brand combines:
• Financial credibility
• Deep research
• Psychedelic and futuristic visual identity
• Beginner-friendly education
• Premium financial tools
• Investor community
• Independent thinking

The core message is:
“See the market through a different lens.”

The CMO will be expected to preserve that identity while making the company accessible to a broader market.

WHO FITS

• A marketer who has helped grow an early-stage fintech, consumer subscription, financial-media, education, social, market-data, or mobile product.
• Strong understanding of brand strategy, growth marketing, content, acquisition funnels, and customer psychology.
• Ability to balance creative brand building with measurable performance marketing.
• Experience with social-media growth, email marketing, SEO, paid acquisition, partnerships, or creator strategy.
• Comfortable working hands-on before managing agencies or a larger internal team.
• Strong judgment when marketing financial, regulated, or high-trust products.
• Understands the difference between financial education and investment-advisory claims.
• Excellent written communication and storytelling ability.
• Financial literacy and the ability to communicate investing concepts accurately without unnecessary complexity.
• Data-driven and capable of identifying which channels actually generate qualified members rather than vanity metrics.
• Able to commit meaningful, consistent time and disclose any current business, employment, or competitive conflicts.

FIRST 90 DAYS

• Produce a complete go-to-market and brand-growth plan with channels, owners, budgets, milestones, and KPIs.
• Audit the current website, social presence, messaging, conversion funnel, and membership positioning.
• Define the primary customer personas and the messaging appropriate for each audience.
• Build a launch calendar covering educational content, research, community growth, and Wook Premium.
• Establish weekly reporting for traffic, email growth, acquisition cost, activation, conversion, retention, referrals, and community engagement.
• Develop the initial organic social-media and content engine.
• Build the email acquisition, onboarding, nurture, and Premium-conversion funnels.
• Define the referral, partnership, creator, and ambassador strategy.
• Improve landing pages and calls to action based on measurable conversion data.
• Establish brand guidelines so the psychedelic Wook identity remains consistent across web, social, advertising, and future mobile products.
• Identify the highest-value marketing experiments for the following six to twelve months.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

The CMO should ultimately create a repeatable growth system where:
Content → Audience → Free Member → Engaged Member → Wook Premium → Retention → Referral
Each stage should be measurable.
The objective is not simply generating followers.
The objective is building a recognizable financial brand that converts attention into a trusted, engaged, recurring-revenue membership community.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply through Wellfound and include:
• Your LinkedIn profile or résumé
• Weekly availability
• A concise 90-day marketing plan
• Examples of brands, products, or communities you have helped grow
• The acquisition channels you understand best
• Any current employment, advisory, investment, or competitive conflicts
• A brief explanation of how you would position The Wook of Wall Street differently from traditional financial-media and investing platforms

The Wook of Wall Street evaluates candidates without regard to protected characteristics.
This posting is an invitation to explore a potential founding relationship, not a promise of employment, salary, securities, profits, or continued engagement.
Final officer status, employment or contractor classification, equity, vesting, compensation, intellectual-property assignment, confidentiality obligations, and any profit-sharing participation must be established through formal written company agreements and comply with applicable law.
