Data Associate - Data & AI Operations (Graduate Role)

Monthly salary: £350 – £500 GBP. GBP anchored. (approximately ₹45,000 – ₹64,000 INR, depending on exchange rate), plus a monthly company performance bonus.

About Location HQ:

Location HQ is a London-founded company with a long track record of working at the highest levels of the film, television, commercial and events industries.

Our work has supported major international productions including The Batman, Skyfall, Jurassic World, World War Z, Les Misérables, The Wolf of Wall Street and Avengers: Age of Ultron, alongside high-profile commercial work for global brands.

We are trusted to operate discreetly, efficiently and reliably in complex production environments.

As the company grows, data and technology are becoming increasingly important to how we operate. We are now building the systems, datasets and AI-assisted workflows that will underpin the next stage of Location HQ.

The Role:

We’re looking for a smart, analytical graduate to join us as a Data Associate – Data & AI Operations.

This is not a traditional data-entry role.

You’ll help us build, structure, validate and improve large business datasets, while using modern AI tools and technology to make that work faster and more intelligent.

You'll work across data research, data quality, enrichment, process design and automation. Over time, we expect the role to become increasingly technical as your skills develop.

From your first week, you’ll be trusted with meaningful work and real responsibility. You'll work closely with the Founder and wider team and will have the opportunity to influence how our data systems and processes are built.

This is an on-site role based in Dehradun.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll be trusted with real responsibility early on. Key areas include:

  • Researching, creating and maintaining high-quality business datasets.
  • Cleaning, validating, standardising and enriching information from multiple sources.
  • Using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini to accelerate research, classification, validation and data processing.
  • Working with spreadsheets and structured datasets to organise large volumes of information accurately.
  • Identifying missing, inaccurate, inconsistent or duplicate records and systematically improving data quality.
  • Analysing datasets to identify patterns, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Designing and documenting data structures, conventions and quality standards.
  • Building repeatable workflows that improve the speed, consistency and accuracy of data creation.
  • Testing new AI and technology tools and identifying where they can improve existing processes.
  • Identifying repetitive manual tasks that could be automated.
  • Helping develop internal data-quality checks and processes.
  • Supporting new data products and initiatives as the company grows.
  • Taking ownership of increasingly complex projects as your capabilities develop.

The objective isn't simply to process information. We want you to help us work out better ways of doing it.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Is a recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
  • Has excellent English comprehension, written, listening and spoken.
  • Enjoys organising information and spotting patterns.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail.
  • Is naturally curious and enjoys solving practical problems.
  • Is interested in AI, technology and how data powers modern businesses.
  • Is comfortable learning new software and systems quickly.
  • Enjoys improving processes and finding more efficient ways of working.
  • A background in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or other analytical disciplines is advantageous.
  • Some coding exposure or technical curiosity is a bonus, not a requirement.

Skills

  • Data Management
  • Data Quality
  • Data Research
  • Data Validation
  • Data Organisation
  • Microsoft Excel
  • AI Tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc.)
  • Process Improvement
  • Documentation
  • Research
  • Problem Solving
  • Communication
  • Time Management
  • Attention to Detail

What We’re Looking For

  • Clear thinking and sound judgement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong execution and reliability.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn.
  • Pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

The Kind of Person Who Will Do Well Here

We care about how you think and work.

The strongest people in this role will:

  • Notice when something doesn't look right and investigate it.
  • Ask sensible questions rather than making assumptions.
  • Care about accuracy.
  • Enjoy turning messy information into something structured and useful.
  • Look for faster and better ways to complete repetitive work.
  • Be comfortable experimenting with new technology.
  • Take ownership of problems rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Be dependable and finish what they start.

If you enjoy spreadsheets, databases, AI tools, research, organising complicated information or figuring out how systems could work better, you'll probably enjoy this role.

What You'll Learn

This role is designed to develop considerably beyond basic data operations.

You'll gain practical experience across:

  1. Data
  2. Data research, cleaning, enrichment, validation, quality control and structured datasets.

  3. AI

  4. Using modern AI models as practical business tools and learning where AI can, and cannot reliably automate work.

  5. Technology

  6. Understanding databases, workflows, automation and the systems behind a growing international business.

  7. Problem solving

  8. Taking messy real-world business problems and turning them into structured, repeatable processes.

  9. Business

  10. Understanding how high-quality information creates commercial advantage and supports decision-making.

Why join Location HQ?

  • Work with modern AI tools from day one.
  • Receive meaningful responsibility from your first week.
  • Work directly with senior decision-makers in a small team.
  • Learn how data and technology power an international business.
  • Develop highly transferable skills across data, AI, operations and technology.
  • Experiment with new tools rather than being tied to legacy processes.
  • See the direct impact of the datasets and systems you help build.
  • Fast decisions, rapid learning and significant scope to take ownership.
  • Clear progression for people who demonstrate ability.

Compensation:

Monthly salary: £350 – £500 GBP. GBP anchored. (approximately ₹45,000 – ₹63,000 INR, depending on exchange rate), plus a monthly company performance bonus.

Starting salary within the range will depend on experience, analytical ability and technical aptitude.

In addition:

  • Monthly company performance bonus.
  • Lunch provided.
  • Salary review and progression opportunities based on performance.

Important

  • This is a full-time, on-site position in Dehradun.
  • Excellent English comprehension is essential.
  • This is a graduate role, so we don't expect years of professional experience.
  • We care considerably more about your ability to think, learn and execute than polished interview answers or memorised technical terminology.

There may be things in this job description you haven't done before. That's fine.

We're interested in graduates who can demonstrate that they learn quickly, think carefully and take pride in producing excellent work.
