Founding Growth Marketer (Commission, with an Equity Path) — ground floor of an EdTech startup

FalconPrep is an education-technology startup that takes the overwhelm out of college applications for high schoolers and their families — a smart, personalized school list, a per-school deadline & requirements tracker, and tools to help families find colleges they can actually afford. We're founder-led and bootstrapped. Students love the product; our next job is getting it in front of many more of them — and that's where you come in.

The opportunity -
This is a founding growth role — you own the entire growth function from day one. Not a "post three times a week" gig: you decide the bets, run the experiments, and build the engine that turns strangers into paying customers. Prove the channel and this becomes a compensated leadership role (Head of Growth) with equity. Real ownership, measurable impact, and a founder who moves fast and gets out of your way.

What you'll own -
Growth strategy and channel selection across our audience (teens + parents)
Short-form social (TikTok, Instagram/Reels), community (Reddit, WhatsApp, Line, WeChat, Facebook groups)
A student ambassador/referral program (infrastructure exists — you'd scale it)
Partnerships (high-school counselors, college marketing clubs) and content/SEO
Paid channels where the unit economics work

Compensation — uncapped commission, with a clear path to equity
Because we're bootstrapped and pre-revenue, this starts as an upside-first package:
Uncapped commission: $30 per paid Complete customer, $60 per paid Premium customer, on everything you drive — no ceiling
Optional paid trial milestone to start (a fixed fee for a 2-week pilot) so we can both see the fit before committing
Equity + a compensated Head-of-Growth role on conversion: prove the channel works and we bring you onto the team with an equity stake and real comp. You'd be first in line to run growth as we scale.

Who we're looking for -
A self-directed operator who's driven measurable customer/revenue growth (share numbers)
Comfortable with startup ambiguity and an upside-weighted package
Knows how to reach Gen-Z and/or parents (EdTech, DTC, or creator marketing a plus)
College-counseling / college-admissions experience is a strong plus — you get what families are going through
Marketing to teenagers / Gen-Z is a strong plus — you know how they discover and trust
