Senior Data Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Senior Data Solutions Architect with strong expertise in Semantic Layer, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and SOX Compliance. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise semantic model architecture, governance, certification, and integration across multiple business workstreams.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Semantic Layer.
• 7+ years of experience with Power BI, Data Modeling, and SOX Compliance.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, analytics engineering, or BI platform leadership.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
• Experience with Direct Lake, composite models, Dataflows Gen2, and Data Pipelines.
• Strong Power BI semantic model development experience including DAX.
• Experience with RLS, OLS, dataset certification, workspace governance, and sensitivity labels.
• Experience with SOX controls, audit trails, access reviews, change management, and data lineage.
• Experience leading architecture and design reviews across multiple business workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Alation, Collibra, or equivalent governance tools.
• Experience integrating Tableau, Qlik Sense, MicroStrategy, or Grafana.
• Experience with Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI, or other AI/LLM platforms.
• Experience with XMLA endpoints and semantic model integrations.
• Experience with Fabric capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git integration, Tabular Editor, and deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Semantic Layer architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Design and develop certified semantic models across business workstreams.
• Establish semantic modeling, DAX, and reusable measure standards.
• Implement RLS, OLS, governance, and SOX compliance controls.
• Define Fabric Dev/Test/Prod deployment strategies.
• Integrate Fabric semantic models with BI and AI/LLM platforms.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, HR, and Technology teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable semantic models.
• Lead architecture reviews and resolve complex design issues.
• Mentor technical teams and promote reusable architecture patterns.
