Web3 Community Manager

About the role

Lua Ventures is hiring a Web3 Community Manager to be the voice and heartbeat of our community and to help our portfolio founders grow theirs. You'll live where crypto lives — Discord, Telegram, X, and governance forums — turning followers into an engaged, loyal community that shows up, contributes, and spreads the word.

This is a crypto-native, always-on role for someone who genuinely lives and breathes Web3 culture: the memes, the narratives, the drama, the alpha. You'll set the tone, run the campaigns, and be the first line of connection between Lua Ventures, our portfolio, and the wider ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Own and grow our community across Discord, Telegram, and X (Twitter) — daily
• Create crypto-native content: threads, memes, announcements, AMAs, and campaigns
• Plan and run community events: Twitter Spaces, AMAs, quests, and IRL meetups at conferences
• Moderate channels, set community guidelines, and keep the vibe healthy and scam-free
• Support portfolio founders in launching and scaling their own communities
• Track sentiment, surface feedback to the team, and report on engagement and growth metrics
• Stay on top of trends, narratives, and what's happening on-chain and on CT (Crypto Twitter)

What we're looking for

• 2+ years running communities in Web3, crypto, or a fast-moving consumer brand
• Deep familiarity with Discord, Telegram, and X — you know how these communities actually work
• You're crypto-native: you understand DeFi, NFTs, tokens, and the culture, not just the buzzwords
• Excellent writer with a strong sense of voice, tone, and memes
• Self-starter comfortable in an async, remote-first team and different time zones
• High energy, thick skin, and genuine love for the space

Nice to have

• Experience with community tools (Guild, Zealy/Galxe, Collab.Land, Dune dashboards)
• A personal presence/following on Crypto Twitter or Farcaster
• Experience with token launches, airdrops, or governance
• Additional languages for global community reach
