Cybersecurity Engineer (Network & Security Operations

San Antonio, TX (required) - 4 days onsite / 1 day remote - Locals only

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

• Hands on experience administering enterprise firewall platforms, including policy management and troubleshooting

• Check Point experience preferred, but not required

• Experience supporting web proxy / secure access solutions

• Zscaler (ZIA / ZPA) experience preferred

• Experience supporting email security platforms

• Proofpoint preferred, but comparable platforms acceptable

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, routing, services)

• Experience working in enterprise, ticket based environments (ServiceNow preferred)

• Experience with endpoint security and application control tools such as:

• CrowdStrike

• Carbon Black App Control

• Trellix Solidcore or similar platforms

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills

Automation & Tooling (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to automation or orchestration concepts within security operations
• Familiarity with scripting or workflow automation tools is a plus
• Experience improving or streamlining repetitive operational tasks

Cloud / Hybrid Environment Exposure

• Experience supporting security operations in hybrid enterprise environments

• Azure security exposure preferred, including:

• Azure Policy

• Network Security Groups (NSG)

• Application Security Groups (ASG)

Environment & Experience

• Experience supporting large scale enterprise environments preferred
• Comfort operating in complex environments with high volumes of endpoints and security tooling
• Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments is a plus, but not required
