About the job

Chief Revenue & Operating Officer of the Events business unit
Direct reports
Head of Event Sales · Head of Event Operations & Logistics · Mixology/Bartending Ops Lead · Account Management team (and Year 2 bench expansion)
Location: New York, NY
Mandate: Full P&L ownership of the Corporate Happy Hours events business — revenue, delivery, operations, and team

About Barsys
Barsys is a consumer-robotics and software company building the first first-party, intent-based advertising network for the U.S. spirits and beverage category. The Barsys platform combines a six-generation hardware portfolio, a multi-million-user consumer cocktail-making application, the Barsys Ad Network, and Corporate Happy Hours — Barsys' experiential events business bringing branded, hardware-powered cocktail experiences into corporate offices and private events. The Company is AI-native, with the majority of its operating work streams AI-enabled, and is venture-backed with a Growth Round currently funding the build-out of its commercial organization.

About this Role
The GM of Corporate Happy Hours runs Barsys' experiential events business end to end — the commercial engine that brings Barsys hardware, mixology expertise, and brand partnerships into corporate offices and private events as a premium, bookable experience. Sales, delivery and logistics, and on-site mixology operations are each held by a named functional lead; the GM is the operator who scales a working, revenue-generating events business into a category-defining corporate-events platform.

Why Barsys, Why Now
Corporate Happy Hours already has commercial proof: Barsys hardware, real mixology credibility, and a growing base of repeat corporate clients. What it lacks is a single operator with full P&L authority to professionalize the sales motion, standardize delivery, and scale beyond founder-led selling. This is a rare mandate — a proven experiential product, a recognizable consumer brand behind it, and a green field for national account growth in a corporate-events market that is actively shifting spend toward memorable, branded, in-office experiences.

Role Overview
Barsys is hiring a General Manager to run the Corporate Happy Hours business unit end-to-end. This is a CRO + COO mandate for a stand-alone P&L: the GM owns the commercial outcome of the events business, leads the sales and delivery bench, and is the external face of the business to corporate clients, event planners, and brand partners.

Core Responsibilities
Own the Corporate Happy Hours P&L end-to-end — booking revenue, gross margin per event, delivery cost, and the operating discipline that holds those numbers together.
Lead and develop the functional bench (Head of Event Sales, Head of Event Operations & Logistics, Mixology Ops Lead) and the account-management team, with authority over org design, hiring, and performance management.
Set pricing and packaging for corporate and private events, and build the tiered account strategy that moves clients from one-off bookings to repeat and enterprise-level contracts.
Run the operating cadence of the business — booking pipeline review, event-delivery SLAs, post-event quality review — as a single, repeatable management system.
Serve as the external commercial face of Corporate Happy Hours to corporate clients, event planners, brand and spirits partners, and venue partners.
Own event-delivery quality and consistency at scale — the brand promise of a Barsys-hosted happy hour has to hold whether it's the 5th event or the 500th.
Partner with the Head of Marketing on brand-partner co-marketing (spirits brands, venues) and with the Office of the CEO on capital allocation and expansion planning.
Build the leadership pipeline behind each functional lead so the business can scale into new markets without the GM as a bottleneck.

What Success Looks Like — Year 1
Corporate Happy Hours is operating as an institutionalized business unit — sales, logistics, and mixology ops each fully staffed and running against documented SLAs.
A repeatable enterprise sales motion is in place, with a defined pipeline, standard pricing tiers, and a growing base of repeat corporate accounts.
Event-delivery quality is consistent and measured, with a documented playbook that lets the business run reliably outside any single city or founder-led relationship.
The Office of the CEO can operate Corporate Happy Hours with confidence as a stand-alone, scalable P&L, with a documented Year 2 expansion plan (new markets, new event formats).

What Success Looks Like — Year 3
Corporate Happy Hours is a recognized category leader in branded corporate experiential events, with multi-year contracts from named enterprise accounts.
The functional bench has scaled into a deeper organizational stack — regional sales and operations leads supporting multi-market delivery.
The GM is personally credentialed as a category-defining operator in experiential and corporate events.
The business has expanded its surface area (new markets, new event formats, or new brand-partner categories) without losing delivery quality.

The Candidate We're Looking For
10–15+ years of commercial operating experience, including explicit GM, CRO, COO, or business-unit-leader experience running a P&L spanning both sales and delivery operations.
Background in experiential marketing, corporate events, hospitality, or a related bookings-and-delivery business; consumer brand or spirits-category fluency is a plus.
A track record of building and leading a sales and operations bench, comfortable hiring and managing functional leads as peers.
Operator-grade rigor — comfortable owning pipeline review, delivery SLAs, and the operating cadence of a real P&L.
Externally fluent with corporate clients, event planners, and brand partners; credible in a room with enterprise procurement and marketing stakeholders alike.
Comfortable with an AI-native, small-team operating posture — building organizational scaffolding from the inside rather than inheriting it.
