Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Northern Virginia, VA. The Project Manager oversees commercial electrical projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with field supervisors, expeditors, and vendors, managing material and equipment deliveries, and monitoring project progress and compliance with safety and electrical codes. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing and updating project documentation, and communicating regularly with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues and keep projects on track. The Project Manager also supports inspections, change order management, and continuous improvement of project execution processes.
Qualifications
- Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination
- Expeditor and Expediting skills to manage material orders, deliveries, and vendor follow-up
- Inspection experience to support quality control, code compliance, and safety standards
- Logistics Management skills for organizing labor, tools, equipment, and site resources
- Experience managing commercial electrical construction projects or similar construction environments
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, specifications, and construction practices
- Proficient in project management and office software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling tools)
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with union labor teams, and manage multiple projects or phases
- Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered**
