Data Governance Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead enterprise data governance initiatives, improve data quality, and support cross-functional data stewardship. This role partners with business and technology teams to establish governance standards, promote data literacy, and ensure trusted, well-managed data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain enterprise data governance policies and standards.
• Drive data quality, metadata management, and data stewardship initiatives.
• Maintain business glossaries, data lineage, and governance documentation.
• Partner with business, engineering, analytics, and security teams to support governance initiatives.
• Facilitate governance meetings, stakeholder communications, and training programs.
• Promote data governance best practices and organizational adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality.
• Strong knowledge of metadata management, master data management (MDM), data stewardship, and data governance frameworks.
• Experience with governance platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and SQL concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
• CDMP or similar certification preferred.
