Software Test Engineer — Manual (Web App) Testing

As we scale our delivery function, we're looking for a Manual Software Tester who takes quality seriously and can be a reliable last line of defence before our products reach clients.

About The Role:
This is a full-time remote role for a Manual Software Tester specialising in Web App Testing with 2–4 years of experience. This is not a passive or box-ticking role. You'll work closely with developers and project managers across multiple client projects, and your attention to detail will directly impact the quality of software shipped to clients in 30+ countries.

What You'll Do:

• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases for web applications across functional and regression testing
• Identify, document, and track bugs through their full lifecycle using Jira or Trello
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and communicate findings clearly to developers and project managers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure testable acceptance criteria are defined
• Validate bug fixes and conduct retesting to confirm resolution
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and documentation standards
• Ensure software quality standards are met before every release

You Bring:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing, specifically web application testing
• Expertise in test case creation, test execution and defect lifecycle management
• Experience with Jira or Trello for bug tracking and project management
• Strong debugging skills and ability to perform root cause analysis
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
• Excellent analytical skills and sharp attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload in a fully remote environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Primary focus is Web Application testing. Experience in Mobile App Testing (Android/iOS) as a Plus.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (ISTQB or equivalent) are a plus
