About the job
Resume-friendly title: "Founding Artist Associate."
Yo DJ... TURNIP THE BEET!!!
DJ: turns up ...
You go deep on the story, not just the numbers. Business owners come to us buried in churn and margin problems, and most of them will never read a case study. You're the one who turns what RevSharrk actually does into something people stop scrolling for — a skit, a short film, a bar, a shot that makes someone feel it before they understand it. A rap song or dj clips to help build out social media platform that would help with storytelling and conversion. You'd operate as a musical expression of a target brand or our core brand. You'll also be able to create daily musical packages as a Forward Deployed Artist for a consulting client's brand, serving as an initial touchpoint into our other products and services. May even be apart of helping throw or be apart of events for target clients.
You'll be one of our first creative hires (we're looking for up to 5 by the end of Q3), partnering closely with the CEO to build RevSharrk's content infrastructure — systems, playbooks, a repeatable production pipeline — from 0 to 1, while you personally experiment with the formats that end up working. Nobody's handing you a style guide; you're writing it as you go, and RevSharrk Studios / RevSharrk Episodes should feel less like marketing collateral and more like a show people follow. Some people may even call you Mr. B2Bst. You bring authentic content into the realm of tech, not AI slop — though there's room to get creative with AI tooling as budget for content equipment grows.
Long-term, unhinged version of the vision: RevSharrk becomes a global tech brand the way Pokémon is a Japanese brand or Gymshark is a UK brand — global, culture-carrying, not just a SaaS logo. Not a commitment today, just the size of swing this role is meant to take.
Structurally, that vision splits into two sectors: RevSharrk AI, with a future HQ in SF, and RevSharrk Studios, with a future HQ in LA — both funded as we raise a seed round next year, part of the core business plan rather than a maybe.
This starts as a revenue-share-only independent contractor engagement across two tracks (below), and you control your own hours, tools, and creative direction. Equity joins the picture during your transition to W-2.
What you'll do
- Build RevSharrk's musical infrastructure from scratch: production music systems, a repeatable playbook, and a pipeline that doesn't depend on you personally touching every asset forever.
- Experiment with your own formats — full songs or clips, DJ sets, song lyrics that demonstrates real company brand or even low-budget, high-quality micro-music videos with Higgsfield.AI — and keep the ones that actually move pipeline, cut the ones that don't.
- Craft content personalized to our target ICP (med spa owners in California — our sole focus for now) that converts, not just entertains.
- Run both a sniper pass (high-virality songs or long sets) and a side-arm pass (shorter songs / clips of DJ sets) — both count, don't only chase the viral hit.
- Option to source and sell your own custom content packages (RevSharrk Studios: Create, Studio) directly to clients — standalone or bundled into a Business Consulting + AI Analytics engagement.
- As your production pipeline matures, expect to handle around 5-10 Studios clients at a time — more concurrent clients unlocks more revenue per sale.
- Content must move real pipeline numbers — ex: higher conversion rate, lower CAC, more booked calls, shorter sales cycles — not just views. You acquire revenue from the pipeline; the sales team closes it.
- Build content for existing clients too, not just new leads — case studies and proof-of-success material that reduce churn on accounts already won.
- Nice-to-have: bring an "artist edge" into the work — a RevSharrk Rap Song, a "RapSharrk" bit, whatever your specific creative lane is — as long as it's a genuine expression of who you are, not a persona you're putting on. Also, you are familiar with using AI creatively, rejecting AI slop and using for authentic UGC.
What we're looking for
- You understand how to make content for a B2B SMB-owner audience that converts, not just content that's fun to make.
- You've had some real virality, and you're equally fine grinding out mid-performing, educational nurture content — both are part of the job.
- Any experience with songwriting, live DJ sets, rap that can set crowds on fire would be amazing.
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity (early-stage startups can be messy, and this role has less of a template than the other two).
- Comfortable starting as an independent contractor on revenue-share-only pay; you set your own hours and methods.
- You'd rather build your own lane than copy someone else's — think "similar to a Chris Jereza" as a reference point for the archetype, not a bar to literally match. Nobody can out-you you.
- Bonus: existing media/content portfolio with measurable business results for past clients; experience building a personal brand alongside a company brand at the same time.
Compensation (w/ Optional Path to CMO)
Track A — Direct delivery. You source and sell your own content package (e.g. a branded video or rap series) as a line item, either standalone or bundled into a client's Business Consulting + AI Analytics engagement. Same shape as the Forward Deployed RevSharrk's solo analyst engagements — you made the sale and did the work, so it's a clean, undisputed revenue share.
Track B — Pipeline referral. Your content generates a lead the Founding GTM RevSharrk closes. Uses first-touch attribution: the lead's source is tagged the moment they book a call/demo, locked after 48 hours, and only counts if it's the lead's actual first entry point and closes within 90 days of that first touch. Same cross-sell rate RevSharrk uses for the GTM↔FDE relationship: 10% flat.
Revenue share on either track isn't final until the customer's money-back guarantee window closes without a refund (14 days for Pro) — paid out after that point, not before. Max has no refund guarantee: it starts with a free business audit and runs cancel-anytime after that, so Max revenue share on either track vests as soon as that month's payment clears — work you've already delivered is never clawed back.
Phase 1 (3-month trial): Independent Contractor
30% revenue share on Track A, uncapped, with a 35% accelerator above quarterly target (resets each quarter) 10% flat referral share on Track B, uncapped No guaranteed base pay, no fixed hours, no equity yet. In case of content not performing, expect minimum of $1,000/month with delayed pay due to pre-revenue creative engine being built or revenue share.
Phase 2 (post-trial, up to 12 months): Independent Contractor
Same 30% Track A split and accelerator, and same 10% Track B referral share, as Phase 1, reviewed at the 90-day mark against actual workload data — adjusted from evidence, not renegotiated blind No guaranteed base pay, no fixed hours, no equity yet Either side can end this anytime with 30 days' notice; if you haven't hit the Phase 3 milestone within 12 months, you convert to W-2 or the engagement ends. In case of content not performing, expect minimum of $1,000/month with delayed pay due to pre-revenue creative engine being built or revenue share.
Phase 3 (at a revenue milestone or after we raise): W-2 Employee Base salary (~$60k-80k for California-based hires) 10% revenue share on Track A, 10% referral share on Track B (carried forward from Phase 2) 0.5-2% founding equity (4-year vest / 1-year cliff) Expect a 996 pace (9am-9pm, 6 days a week)
Phase 4 (optional future for top candidate): Room to grow into CMO (or Chief Content/Brand RevSharrk), equity reflecting seniority — not a commitment today.
The Founding DJ/Rapper Interview Game Three rounds. Round 2 is yours to define — audition, portfolio walkthrough, whatever proves the work best. A deep enough existing portfolio/reel may let us waive Round 2 at our discretion; not guaranteed for anyone, evaluated case by case.
Round 1: Get to know you — an initial call to understand your background, portfolio, and fit.
Round 2: Show us your creative edge — your call: a live audition, a portfolio walkthrough, or a short spec piece for one of our ICPs. Looking for range across sniper-shot and side-arm styles, not just one mode.
Round 3: Paid trial engagement — a 3-month engagement under a signed independent contractor agreement. Real content work for RevSharrk, on your own schedule, non-exclusively.
Join us as a Founding DJ/Rapper RevSharrk — an energetic, expressive role where your innovative vision will shape our brand’s future! We are committed to paying all team members fairly for their expertise and dedication.
This is an exciting opportunity to leave a lasting impact through your creative leadership while owning the founding creative, content infrastructure from 0-to-1. We don't just want to build another tech brand... we want to be elevated by world-class creative expertise which is again, why we will have two sectors of RevSharrk (the EXTREME analog of AI will heighten the demand for live music + quality entertainment-driven storytelling engines):
RevSharrk AI with future HQ in SF and RevSharrk Studios with future HQ in LA
as we raise our seed round from initial investors...
You in???
