Project Manager

Summary

Basque Trade and Investment (BasqueTrade) is the internationalization agency of the Basque Government. It offers customized services to boost Basque companies’ exports and internationalization, foster positioning activities in strategic markets, facilitate technical support for commercial and production facilities, and provide support for projects funded by multilateral organizations.

In addition, BasqueTrade advises foreign investors seeking to invest and establish operations in the Basque Country.

The candidate will interact with both Basque and US companies, providing excellent service and assisting in the development of their projects.

The position reports to the Office Director.

Role Responsibilities:

• Implement consulting projects.
• Conduct market studies of sectors and regions.
• Select and identify potential partners and clients in the U.S.
• Advise Basque companies on the process of exporting their products to the U.S.
• Draft technical, economic, and trade reports.
• Manage the client and contact database.
• Execute marketing activities to promote the internationalization of Basque companies.
• Organize trade missions and agendas.
• Attend conferences and trade shows.
• Support the Office Director with investment opportunities, investment promotion campaigns, trade missions, and investor summits.
• Support the Office Director in analyzing global investment trends and other investment interests relevant to our clients.

Candidate requirements:

Education:

-Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

-A minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in international activities.

-Knowledge of the US and Basque industrial and institutional landscapes is preferred.

-Previous experience working with associations, consulates, industrial parks, clusters, local authorities, or similar institutions is preferred.

Languages:

-Fluency in English.

-Knowledge of Basque and Spanish is preferred.
