Pickcel is a global SaaS platform for Digital Signage, serving customers across 35+ countries. Our platform powers thousands of digital displays on Android, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, BrightSign, and ChromeOS.

As we scale, we are looking for a hands-on engineering leader to strengthen our architecture, improve engineering quality, mentor the team, and help build the next generation of our platform.

About the Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will work closely with the CTO and engineering team to drive architecture, improve engineering practices, solve complex technical problems, and mentor developers. While you will contribute to coding when required, your primary responsibility will be to elevate the overall quality, scalability, and productivity of the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the overall technical architecture and long-term engineering roadmap.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
• Review critical code, mentor engineers, and establish engineering best practices.
• Improve software quality through better design, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve complex production issues.
• Promote AI-assisted software development to improve engineering productivity.
• Reduce technical debt while maintaining delivery velocity.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Sales Engineering to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Build a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience building and scaling enterprise software products, with proven technical leadership.
• Strong software architecture and system design skills, with the ability to make sound long-term technical decisions.
• Technology and language agnostic, choosing the right tools and platforms based on the problem, not personal preference.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, APIs, security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Passion for engineering excellence through coding standards, architecture reviews, automation, testing, and CI/CD.
• AI-first engineering mindset, with experience leveraging AI to accelerate software design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers, raise technical standards, and build a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
