Key Responsibilities

  • Primary Technical Contact: Serve as the primary technical point of contact (POC) on the Radar System Replacement (RSR) program for customers and internal stakeholders, driving technical discussions, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment on architecture, integration approach, and deployment methodology.
  • Radar Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Indra Primary and Secondary Radar systems, having deep-dive technical discussions with customers, owning technical implementation, supporting solution development, and ensuring accurate representation of system capabilities, architecture, and deployment considerations.
  • Field Engineering Execution: Support field engineering activities, including installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of radar systems.
  • CDRL Management: Own and support the full lifecycle of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables, including content development, technical review, quality assurance, and final submission in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Baseline & Configuration Management:
  • Establish and manage the system configuration baseline for all radar program components, ensuring alignment between design, deployment, and delivered system states across all sites.
  • Manage the configuration management (CM) process, including identification, control, status accounting, and audits of hardware, software, and documentation baselines.
  • Customer & FAA Interface: Act as the primary technical interface with the FAA, addressing technical issues, supporting acceptance activities, and managing/supporting customer-facing Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure systems comply with contractual requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Maintain deep familiarity with applicable FAA regulations, orders, advisories, and technical guidance, particularly related to the RSR program.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with program management, internal engineering teams, and external partners to support successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in field engineering, systems engineering, or technical project management, preferably with radar or RF-based systems.
  • Experience with technical teams in a field or customer-facing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and CAD drawings, including system schematics and installation layouts.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators) preferred.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work directly with customers and regulatory stakeholders such as the FAA.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
