Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Wiring Engineer role based in Clinton Township, MI. The Wiring Engineer will design, develop, and document electrical wiring layouts and harnesses for embedded and control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include interpreting electrical schematics, selecting appropriate components and connectors, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, and supporting integration of wiring systems into prototypes and production units. The role involves troubleshooting wiring issues, performing continuity and safety checks, and assisting in root-cause analysis for electrical faults. The Wiring Engineer will also contribute to process improvements, maintain accurate documentation, and support testing and validation activities for power distribution and control systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical understanding of Electricity and circuit behavior.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design, including creating wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of Power Distribution and Power Systems relevant to embedded and control applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with wiring design tools and CAD software for harness and schematic development.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in an engineering environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
  • Knowledge of automotive or industrial embedded systems and relevant safety standards is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
