About the job
Our customers manage fleets of tens of thousands of devices, and almost everything they do runs through one dense data table: sorting, filtering, paging, and selecting rows in bulk. We're looking for a frontend engineer to own the TypeScript engine underneath that table. It's headless and framework-agnostic, so it takes a set of rows and a view spec and returns exactly what the UI should show. The correctness of the whole experience lives in this code.
What you'll do:
Build the core that turns raw rows into sorted, filtered, and paged output, and keep it fast on large datasets
Get sorting right across mixed data types, including where nulls and undefined values land
Design a selection model that tracks rows by identity, so range-select, select-all, and "everything except these" keep working when the data underneath changes
Keep the engine pure and predictable, with unit tests that cover the edge cases users actually hit
What we're looking for:
Solid TypeScript and comfort writing pure, well-typed code
Experience modeling state and getting comparator and sorting logic exactly right
Good judgment about when to stop abstracting
Nice to have:
Worked with headless table libraries like TanStack Table, and comfortable with generics and clean API design
