Founding Marketplace Growth Lead

Helprr is a local marketplace connecting people who need practical help with nearby people who can do the work. We already have real demand and active helpers; our challenge is to concentrate activity in the right places, turn more jobs into successful matches and build repeatable local growth.

Join the founding team and own Helprr’s consumer growth engine. You will work directly with customers, helpers and local communities, decide where growth should focus, run experiments and turn what works into a repeatable operating system.

What you will own

• Select and validate the city × task-category beachhead where Helprr can become meaningfully liquid.
• Speak directly with posters, lost customers, repeat users and helpers to understand motivation, trust and failed transactions.
• Run hands-on local community, SEO, referral and partnership experiments across both sides of the marketplace.
• Build activation, retention and reactivation campaigns around real user behaviour and marketplace moments.
• Sharpen Helprr’s audience, promise and messaging across landing pages, campaigns and the product journey.
• Maintain a small portfolio of hypotheses, execute quickly and make clear continue, change or stop decisions.

Who we are looking for

• A hands-on individual contributor who enjoys building with a very small team.
• Experience growing a consumer marketplace, local-services platform or another geographically dense network.
• A people-first operator who enjoys outreach, interviews, community building and helping users succeed.
• Comfortable moving between channel execution, copywriting, lifecycle campaigns, basic operations and experiment design.
• Fluent in Dutch with strong English, and familiar with Dutch neighbourhood and community channels.
• Resourceful enough to do unscalable local work before trying to automate it.

How you will work

Max owns product, engineering and technical growth systems. Thom owns business economics and commercial direction. Robin focuses part-time on B2B partnerships. You own the day-to-day consumer growth system and its execution; major choices are made together.

This is not a social-media coordinator, pure performance marketer, SEO content factory or strategy-only management role.

Hiring process

The process includes a short exercise outlining how you would approach Helprr’s first six weeks: what you would investigate, where you would focus, which experiment you would run first and what you would deliberately not do.
