SAP BTP RAP Developer

We’re looking for a highly skilled SAP BTP RAP Developer with deep hands-on expertise in RAP, CDS Views, OData services, and HANA performance tuning. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable solutions within S/4HANA and integrating with modern SAP technologies including BTP Business Process Automation (BPA) and Fiori.

You’ll collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to deliver high-performing, future-ready solutions in an enterprise-grade SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and optimize custom applications using S/4HANA ABAP and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model).
• Design and build CDS Views for analytical and transactional applications.
• Create and expose OData services for Fiori/UI5 consumption with annotations and metadata extensions.
• Implement classical RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) with a focus on performance and maintainability.
• Optimize existing code leveraging HANA pushdown techniques and AMDPs to maximize performance.
• Work with Fiori Elements to build modern, responsive UI applications integrated with backend services.
• Implement enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots as per business requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code in an S/4HANA environment for both performance and scalability.
• Integrate and automate business processes using SAP BTP Business Process Automation (BPA).
• Partner with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, Fiori developers, and integration specialists) to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

6–8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with 3+ years on S/4HANA

Hands-on expertise in:

• ABAP CDS Views (Core Data Services)
• ABAP RAP (Restful Application Programming) – strong fundamentals required
• OData Services (Gateway, annotations, consumption in Fiori/UI5)
• HANA concepts (code pushdown, performance tuning, AMDP, SQL Script)
• Proven experience with RICEF objects and enhancement frameworks (BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots)
• Debugging and troubleshooting in an S/4HANA environment
• Experience working with Fiori Elements and UI5-based applications
• Familiarity with SAP BTP Business Process Automation (BPA)
