What You Will Be Doing:

As a Data Architect on the Data Services team, you will own the design and evolution of our cloud-native data platform serving 200+ clients across a multi-tenant SaaS environment. You will lead the architecture of a metadata-driven data integration platform built on Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Unity Catalog — enabling ingestion of virtually any file format through configurable mappings and transformations rather than hard-coded logic.

You will work closely with data engineering, platform engineering, and product teams to design and deliver new features, translate business requirements into durable architectural patterns, own our Azure Data Factory and Databricks pipeline architecture, and drive the data governance model — including Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview — underpinning a 30TB+ cloud data estate.

  • Review client-provided documents to ensure they meet minimum requirements for development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop strategies to meet those needs
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in a data science and development

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data science and development
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integrations techniques
  • Experience with programming languages such as Phyton, R, and SQL
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS and Azure

Nice To Have:

  • RegTech Experience
  • Knowledge of Insurance Firms and Capital Markets

Pay Transparency:

The base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $200,000.

RegEd takes a market-based approach to pay. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. Your actual pay at RegEd is based on your unique background, pertinent experience, work location and qualifications. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge and skills to our internal peers in the role. In addition to competitive base pay and bonus/commission program participation, RegEd’s total compensation package also includes our comprehensive benefits package in addition to vacation, sick, volunteer time off and paid parental leave.
