Website Development Intern (UI/UX + Full-Stack, End-to-End)

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on intern who can take a website from a blank page to a live, working product — designing it, building it, and deploying it, end-to-end. You'll own the full pipeline: research, design, build, and deploy, using only free-tier tools. The deliverable is a complete, fully functioning website, live and ready to use, deployed on the URL/domain we provide.

Responsibilities

• Design wireframes and polished UI in Figma, with responsive layouts for mobile and desktop
• Develop the front end using HTML/CSS/JavaScript or a framework like React/Next.js
• Maintain a clean GitHub repository with sensible commits, branches, and pull requests
• Deploy the site live on the provided URL/domain via Vercel (or Netlify/GitHub Pages), with auto-deploy set up from GitHub
• Test the site across browsers and devices, and fix any issues
• Document the project with a simple README covering the stack, structure, and redeployment steps

Required Skills

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript (basic to intermediate)
• Comfort with Figma (wireframes, prototyping, components)
• Git and GitHub workflow (clone, commit, push, branch, pull request)
• Basic understanding of responsive design and UX principles

Good to Have

• Experience with React/Next.js, Tailwind CSS, or similar
• Basic SEO knowledge (meta tags, alt text, sitemaps)
• Familiarity with free backend/database options (Supabase, Firebase free tier) if the site needs dynamic data

Notes on Tools

• Free to use AI tools to speed up design or development, as long as you understand, own, and can maintain the final output
• All tools and platforms used must be free-tier — no paid subscriptions, plugins, or premium APIs
• The deliverable is a complete, polished, fully working website — live and ready to use, not a partial or in-progress build

Deliverables

• Figma file with wireframes and final designs
• GitHub repository with clean, working code
• Website deployed live on the provided URL/domain
• A short README/handover document explaining the stack and how to redeploy

Evaluation Criteria

• Design quality and consistency
• Code quality and use of version control
• Site functions correctly and is responsive across devices
• Successful, working deployment on the given URL
• Completeness and polish of the final website
• Independent problem-solving within free-tool constraints
