About the job

About DACG, Inc.

DACG, Inc. is a growing general contractor (GC) based in Central Florida, focused on delivering high-quality projects for K–12 schools, public entities, and private owners.

In addition, we self-perform a variety of specialty scopes, including aluminum canopies, structural concrete, flatwork, sports courts, and other site improvements.

Position Overview

The Project Manager II works with the Senior Project Manager to support the successful execution of K–12 school CMAR projects, including demolition, new construction, and renovations on occupied campuses.

As part of the project leadership team, this position contributes to subcontractor and vendor coordination, project documentation, cost management, procurement, schedule follow-up, and closeout activities, with responsibility for assigned areas of the project.

This role is ideal for someone with K–12 school construction experience who is ready to take responsibility for key areas of a project and continue growing through increasing ownership on $10M–$50M+ projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes to understand project requirements and contribute to project planning.

• Lead and facilitate subcontractor coordination meetings to review progress, schedule, safety, and field issues.

• Manage assigned project communication with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, owners, and internal team members.

• Support schedule updates, project milestones, and follow-up on open items in coordination with site supervision and project leadership.

• Manage submittals, shop drawings tracking, RFIs, meeting minutes, and action items.

• Review and help manage contracts, change orders, pay applications, vendor invoices, and other cost documentation.

• Manage assigned aspects of procurement planning, material tracking, and coordination with vendors and subcontractors.

• Manage assigned project closeout activities, including commissioning coordination, owner training, punch list follow-up, and closeout documentation.

• Conduct jobsite visits and participate in quality and safety reviews, including compliance with occupied campus safety requirements and school district protocols.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Five or more years of commercial construction project management or project coordination experience.

• K–12 school construction experience, including work on occupied campuses, is strongly preferred.

• Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment, and taking ownership of deadlines and follow-ups.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong working relationships.

Additional Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

• Generous time off policy and paid holidays.

• 401(k) with company match.

• Opportunity for learning, professional growth, and advancement as the company continues to expand.

Schedule

Full-time role. Monday–Friday, standard business hours, with flexibility based on project demands.

Location

  • Based at DACG’s office in Altamonte Springs, FL, with work at assigned project sites in Central Florida as needed.
