About OnStride

OnStride started as the operating system for the modern horse barn. That was step one. We are building the ecosystem for the entire horse industry.

Today we replace paper records, whiteboards, and group texts with one platform that runs a barn's entire operation: horse care, scheduling, staffing, billing, and client communication. We are live with paying barns across Florida, Colorado, Texas, and Utah, and our mobile app just launched on the App Store and Google Play.

But we are not a barn app. We are a technology company for an industry that has been ignored by technology for decades. Software is the foundation. From there we go deeper: agentic AI that runs operations on its own, and eventually hardware built for real barns and real people, from cameras to touchscreens to products that live in the barn aisle. Our founder has worked in barns since age ten and has ridden over a thousand horses. We know this world, we know what it needs, and we intend to build all of it.

The Role

You will work directly with the CEO and ship features that paying customers use the next morning. You will touch everything: our web platform (React, Next.js, Node, Python, PostgreSQL), our mobile app, and the AI features that automate daily barn operations. No ticket queues, no layers. You build it, you own it, and you see it in a barn owner's hands within days.

Who we're looking for

• You have built and shipped real things. Side projects, internships, freelance work, a startup that didn't make it. We care about what you've made, not years on a resume
• Strong fundamentals across the stack, and you can pick up whatever the problem requires
• You have worked with LLMs and want to build production AI, not just prompt ChatGPT
• You move fast, figure things out without a spec, and would rather ship this week than plan this quarter
• You want to make a real change in the world, and you're hungry enough to do the work it takes
• Bonus: you know horses, grew up around agriculture, or have lived in the world we're building for
• Compensation

This is an early stage startup and we are straightforward about what that means. Compensation is discussed openly in the process. If your goal is to maximize salary, this is not your role. If your goal is to maximize what you build, own, and learn in the next two years, this may be the best offer you will ever see.
