Chief Technology Officer | CoFounder

Technical co-founder. You own everything technical: architecture, build, security, and eventually the team. Year one you personally build and ship: a consumer mobile app, the backend, third-party financial API integrations, and the AI layer at the core of the product.

The deal:

20% equity (15–25% flex), vesting from day one. 4-year schedule, 1-year cliff.
Nothing is paid before funding - no salary, no day rate, no paid trial. Not negotiable.
£4–6k/month salary starts automatically at first close of our £700k round (targeted Q4 2026).
Before anything is signed: a 1–2 week trial sprint building together. Unpaid on both sides — we're evaluating each other.

You — must have:

5+ years building software, with at least one consumer product shipped 0→1 that you can show and I can click.
Full-stack: React Native or Flutter on mobile; Node/TypeScript or Python behind it.
Hands-on with LLM/AI APIs — you've built something real with them, not just experimented.
Strong on API integrations, data security and privacy — financial data in a regulated UK environment.
Product judgement: you care how a screen feels, not just that it compiles.
Ship weekly, communicate fast, never go quiet.
UK-based or UK hours. Able to work months on equity only.

Nice to have: Open Banking (TrueLayer/Plaid) · fintech or FCA-regulated background · founding-engineer experience.

The company: A consumer personal-finance app for the UK with an AI at its core, built on a genuinely different model to every incumbent - in a space a major UK neobank just validated with an acquisition. Full detail on the call.

Where we are: Working demo in build. Waitlist and paid acquisition launching. £700k SEIS/EIS raise prepped, HMRC Advance Assurance underway. Second co-founder (finance-industry domain expert) on board. Founder is a career growth marketer - distribution is in-house.
