Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lenexa, KS, responsible for overseeing mechanical contracting projects from planning through completion. Daily tasks include coordinating project schedules, resources, and materials, managing subcontractors and internal teams, and tracking progress against scope, budget, and timelines. The role involves communicating with clients and stakeholders, preparing and reviewing project documentation, and ensuring work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Project Manager will work closely with expediting, logistics, and inspection teams to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and keep projects on schedule. This position requires hands-on presence at job sites, active participation in meetings, and continuous process improvement to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software and general office tools (e.g., MS Office; construction PM platforms preferred).
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, or related trades; prior experience in mechanical contracting is beneficial.
