Accounting Manager (Philippines - Remote)

*This opportunity is open to candidates currently based in the Philippines. The role follows a 6:00 AM–3:00 PM Manila Time schedule and is a full-time independent contractor position.

About the Role

As an Accounting Manager, you will serve as the accounting lead on multiple client engagements across diverse industries, including consumer goods, SaaS, business services, manufacturing, and healthcare.

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional with 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years in US accounting and at least 2 years of team leadership. This role is ideal for someone who loves process, obsesses over the numbers, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. The ideal candidate is a self-proclaimed perfectionist with a passion for collaborating cross-functionally with both internal teams and clients.

You’ll work closely with our growing finance and accounting team (who are actually a lot of fun!) and gain regular exposure to senior leaders at both the firm and our client organizations.

What’s In It for You

• Compensation & Perks: $3,300–$3,500 USD per month, 13th-month pay, and an annual salary increase + performance-based bonus program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close processes and oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare, review, and present financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, and produce comprehensive financial reports for internal and client review.
• Strategy & Optimization: Perform in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, and evaluate, enhance, and streamline financial systems and processes.
• Client & Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support team members to ensure high-quality deliverables, while partnering closely with clients to provide financial insights and ongoing guidance.

Qualifications

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
• Experience: 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in US accounting (US firm background preferred).
• Leadership: 2+ years of experience leading or supervising a team.
• Technical Domain: Experience with tangible goods and inventory management.
• Software & Tools: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• eCommerce accounting experience
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Xero
• Strong client-facing communication and meeting facilitation skills
