Role Description

The Retail Project Manager oversees the successful execution of commercial tenant improvement and retail construction projects from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and client relationships while coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality results. The Project Manager provides leadership throughout all phases of construction, drives financial performance, promotes safety and process improvement, and ensures projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with Solex Contracting's standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, with roles in project management, supervision, or engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in tenant improvements or retail construction
  • Strong ability to manage multiple aspects or jobs at once and prioritize tasks in order or urgency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with budgeting, cost control, and scheduling
  • Proficient with standard office software
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, safety regulations, and various trades
  • Certifications like PMP or CCM are beneficial but not required
  • Willing to travel out of town or state for work
  • Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Relevant education or certification in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
