Job Summary
Quectel is currently searching for an Antenna Technical Sales Manager to support the Quectel Antenna Segment in NA.
We require an experienced technical sales manager that can expand Quectel’s NA market share through a dedicated focus on solving customer design and integration requirements, establishing a competitive edge in our Engineering so we can win competitor accounts and the build strong long-term partnerships with our customers. The successful Technical Sales Manager will work closely with the NA Regional Sales Managers/Sales Representative Network and report to the NA Director of Antenna Sales.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Responsible for RF hardware technical support in debugging and resolving on 2G/3G/4G/5G/CAT-M/NB-IoT/GNSS/Wi-Fi and other wireless communication module products.
- Provide reliable design solutions to customers according to their actual applications.
- Coordinate between different teams (like CPM, FAE, Cert.) in resolving customer’s RF hardware related issues in a timely manner.
- Review the SCH and PCB design files of customer's device using EDA tools.
- Support to solve the problems encountered in overseas certifications for OTA and EMC.
- Assist customers in hardware RF related queries and concerns with prompt replies.
- Able to hold meetings independently with customers and certification labs if necessary.
- Track, maintain and summarize RF related queries & problems from customers in reports.
- Responsible for internal technical trainings for FAE and Sale teams.
- Cooperate with RF development team to create the technical application notes.
- Other department tasks based on the competences of the employee.
- Act as the client’s main point of contact for technical support including assisting with the collection and RFQ response and monitoring the progress of the outstanding customer projects.
Sales Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish a thorough and complete understanding of Quectel’s profession and products. Employ this knowledge to sell Quectel’s products to both current and prospective customers successfully
- Support Quectel’s profit and growth targets by successfully meeting specified sales quotas.
- Travel requirements to meet with customers will be a minimum of 2 weeks every month or 50%.
- Territory coverage will include MidWest and Eastern US and Canada
- Preferred location for this position would be MidWest or East Coast
New Customer Outreach
- Assist in the hunt for prospective customers and actively grow sales funnel
- Connect with any potential customer leads to grow Quectel’s customer base
- Create strong relationships with prospective customers through consistent communication and assistance
- Maintain a funnel of prospective customers and ensure they move through the sales process of Customer Acquisition, Technical Evaluation, and Design Win.
Account Management
- Help Sales to manage customer accounts
- Maintain relationships with all existing and prospective customers to ensure ongoing and continued sales
- Travel to meet regularly with current customers to be aware of and adapt to any changing and maturing business needs
- Be readily available to current and prospective customers to discuss any enquiries
- Work closely with Regional Sales, Field Application Engineers and Product Managers to ensure for a seamless understanding of all technical components and escalate any technical issues that may arise
- Cooperate with colleagues globally to ensure that the customer and their manufacturing/development partners are supported in all global locations
- Arrange customer business reviews for future collaboration and growth
- Work closely with dedicated Sales Administrator to manage all PO placements and to provide current and accurate forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communication/Microwave or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Strong written and presentation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to thrive in an active environment and manage a busy schedule
- Attend various trade shows when required in NA region.
- Familiarity with RF principles, conformance specs and mainstream test instruments.
- Component level understanding of RF architecture design within a Cellular Modem.
- Experience in testing products, with a focus on one on one more RF technologies including Cellular 2G/3G/4G/5G mmWave, Wi-Fi 802.11 etc., GNSS/NTN.
- Proven hands on experience of working with Lab equipment like R&S CMW500, Anritsu MT8821C, IQxel, VNA, Spectrum Analyzer and oscilloscope etc.
- Able to grasp key understanding of different parameters from datasheets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good spoken and written English.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to quickly comprehend with the advancement in RF technology and with company’s growing product lines.
- Strong in pressure handling, strain capacity, logical thinking and communication skills.
- Teamwork insights, tasks driven (good at exploring into the new tech-domains) proactive path-finding methodology and problem-solving abilities
