QA Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Guardian who refuses to let buggy software reach the customer. At KoiReader, you won't just be clicking buttons; you will be testing complex AI systems that run on Mobile, Desktop, and Edge devices. You will be the final gatekeeper for our Computer Vision models and Mobile Apps, ensuring that our Fortune 500 clients get a flawless experience. If you have an eagle eye for detail and love breaking things so they can be built better, this is your role.

Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Design: Don't just follow test cases; author them. Design comprehensive test plans, usage scenarios, and edge cases that push our software to its limits.
Mobile Mastery: Lead the testing efforts for our Native and Hybrid mobile applications on iOS and Android. You ensure our app feels native and performant on every device.
Visual Quality Assurance: This is an AI company. You will test Image and Video quality, ensuring that our computer vision models are receiving clear, accurate inputs from cameras.
Defect Hunting: Execute rigorous Smoke, Functional, and Regression testing. You identify bugs, log them effectively (via Jira/similar tools), and work with developers to trace the root cause.
Usability Advocacy: Be the voice of the user. Provide critical feedback on UI/UX, serviceability, and overall product feel. If it's hard to use, you flag it.
Cross-Platform Validation: Validate software behavior across diverse environments—Windows, Linux, Desktop Browsers, and Mobile OS.
Release Management: Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering to track the release process, ensuring that only quality code hits production.

Skills & Requirements
Testing Fundamentals: Deep expertise in SDLC methodologies and manual testing processes (Smoke, Functional, Regression).
Mobile Expertise: Strong hands-on experience testing mobile apps on iOS and Android. You understand the nuances of Apple and Google UI standards.
OS Agility: Comfortable working across Windows and Linux platforms. You aren't afraid of the command line.
Documentation & Tooling: Ability to write clear, detailed Functional Test Cases and Bug Reports. Proficient with tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
AI Awareness: "Good to have" knowledge of image/video quality assessment. You understand that lighting, blur, and resolution impact AI performance.
Independence: Ability to work autonomously. You spot gaps in requirements and update them proactively.

Brownie Points
Automation: Basic knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, Appium) is a plus (though this is primarily a manual testing role).
API Testing: Experience using Postman to test backend APIs.
Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Logistics or Supply Chain applications.
