About Tracera
Most sustainability teams spend too much time collecting data and not enough time using it. Tracera exists to change that.
We're building the AI-native Sustainability Data Infrastructure Platform, helping enterprises automate the collection, validation, transformation, and reporting of sustainability data. Our platform enables organisations to measure, manage, and improve their environmental and social impact while staying ahead of rapidly evolving reporting requirements.
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in New York, Tracera is backed by Bain & Company and leading venture investors. We have established strong early traction, built an exceptional team, and are now entering the next phase of growth as we scale our product, customers, and impact.
The opportunity
We're looking for a Head of Product to lead the next chapter of Tracera's product journey.
This is a highly strategic leadership role reporting directly to the CTO, with ownership of product vision, roadmap, execution, and team development across our AI-native sustainability platform.
You'll lead and grow a team of Product Managers while working closely with customers, prospects, engineering, go-to-market teams, and company leadership to define what the future of sustainability software looks like.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of product strategy, AI, customer discovery, and business growth.
You'll be responsible not only for deciding what gets built, but why it gets built, how it creates value for customers, and how it contributes to Tracera's long-term success.
We're looking for someone who is excited by ambiguity, comfortable making difficult prioritisation decisions, and energised by the opportunity to build category-defining software in one of the fastest-moving sectors in technology.
Role Responsibilities:
- Set a multiyear product vision and translate it into clear strategies, multi-quarter roadmaps, and measurable outcomes. Hold yourself and the team accountable for top-line business KPIs.
- Drive end-to-end execution across multiple streams of work. Create clarity from ambiguity, sequence milestones, manage risks, and remove blockers to deliver reliably.
- Raise the bar for product craft and reliability, with an AI-first approach. Establish quality standards, review work rigorously, and ensure we ship intuitive, durable solutions that scale.
- Lead customer and prospect discovery. Pair qualitative insights with quantitative analysis to identify the highest leverage problems and validate solutions.
- Lead a team of four (4) Product Managers. Coach product managers for outcomes, provide clear expectations, and develop talent through feedback, example-setting, and opportunity.
- Influence broadly without relying on authority. Align executives and cross functional leaders through clear narratives, crisp decision docs, and transparent tradeoffs.
- Translate customer and customer success needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and technical specs (using and building Agentic AI, APIs, data models, etc.)
- Deeply partner with Engineering to balance speed, scope, and technical integrity. Make pragmatic decisions that provide long-term upsides.
- Stay on top of the changes in the AI space and how they bring radical changes to product and engineering teams’ approach and velocity
- Orchestrate GTM with Sales, Marketing, Content and Customer Success. Define positioning, enablement, rollout plans, and feedback loops to drive adoption to market with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Institute operating rhythms that reinforce learning: post-launch reviews, experiment cadences, KPIs, and decision logs.
- Operate with an owner/CXO mindset for your portfolio: know the figures, make focused bets, and pivot quickly based on customer feedback. Allocate resources, sunset low ROI work, and double down where impact is greatest.
Role Requirements:
- 5+ years in product management
- Ideally with 2+ years managing PMs
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment (manufacturing, supply chain, or sustainability) would be preferred.
- A track record of shipping successful products from 0 to 1 and at scale, with clear business and user impact.
- Strong product judgement, customer empathy, and the ability to simplify complex problem spaces.
- High growth mindset to lead our AI-first platform.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional leadership skills.
- You are comfortable using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) to quickly prototype or have prior experience coding
- A software engineering background could be helpful, but is not essential
