About The Double

The Double is a Digital Twin Platform built to help professionals and teams activate their knowledge, expertise, and identity.

Users can create AI-powered Doubles that talk, answer questions, demonstrate expertise, capture leads, and take actions on their behalf. Instead of relying only on static profiles, PDFs, websites, and business cards, The Double gives people and teams an interactive identity that is available anytime.

Individuals can create a Double trained on their knowledge, voice, personality, and preferences. Companies can deploy branded Doubles across teams, use cases, and customer journeys while maintaining consistency and control.

We are a lean, early-stage SaaS startup growing through product-led adoption and building a new category at the intersection of digital identity, conversational AI, and agentic workflows.

Location: Remote
Internship Duration: 6 months
Commitment: Full-time
Stipend: Unpaid for the first month - then ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 per month based on performance

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern who is excited to build, iterate, and improve an early-stage SaaS product.

You will work across frontend, backend, data, and AI systems, with the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of features. You will collaborate closely with the founder and engineering team to turn product ideas into reliable, intuitive, and scalable experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning quickly, solving real product problems, and shipping frequently.

Responsibilities

1. Build and improve product features using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
2. Develop responsive, intuitive, and visually polished user experiences.
3. Build and maintain backend services, APIs, authentication systems, and data models.
4. Integrate AI models, APIs, retrieval systems, and automation capabilities into the product.
5. Work on conversational AI, knowledge systems, voice experiences, and agentic workflows.
6. Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
7. Build and optimize data infrastructure for analytics, personalization, and product insights.
8. Set up product and customer analytics to measure engagement, activation, and retention.
9. Participate in product discussions, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, testing, and agile development.
10. Take ownership of features from initial concept to production deployment and improvement.

Requirements

1. Good understanding of the MERN stack, TypeScript, Redux, and modern web development.
2. Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, databases, and data modelling.
3. Familiarity with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
4. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
6. Interest in product development, user experience, and early-stage startups.
7. Ability to learn quickly, accept feedback, and iterate based on real user needs.
8. Familiarity with AI, machine learning, large language models, or vector databases is a plus.
9. Experience with cloud platforms, deployments, Git, or CI/CD is a plus.

You Would Be a Great Fit If You

1. Have at least six months of relevant work experience or have completed multiple internships.
2. Have built and deployed at least one meaningful side project.
3. Can demonstrate projects through GitHub, a live product, or a portfolio.
4. Have a strong interest in SaaS products and the startup ecosystem.
5. Enjoy working across frontend, backend, product, and design instead of limiting yourself to one area.
6. Are eager to learn, build, test, and iterate quickly.
7. Thrive in an environment with high ownership, limited handholding, and changing priorities.
8. Care about the quality of the final user experience, not just whether the code works.

About the Founder

I am a founder with more than 12 years of experience across enterprise SaaS, product marketing, growth, brand, and go-to-market strategy.

Before building The Double, I worked with companies including Exotel and Luru, helping build and grow SaaS products from early stages. I started the company as a solo project and now work with a growing product and engineering team.

I am deeply interested in product development, UI/UX design, storytelling, marketing, sales, and building products that people genuinely enjoy using.
