Responsibilities

• Assist in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Create, configure, and maintain Virtual Machines (VMs).
• Manage cloud storage services such as Google Cloud Storage.
• Configure and maintain Load Balancers for scalable and highly available applications.
• Containerize applications using Docker.
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS settings.
• Assist in developing and deploying serverless applications using Google Cloud Functions.
• Configure and maintain Nginx as a web server and reverse proxy.
• Support CI/CD deployment pipelines and assist with deployments and rollbacks.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and logs to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Help identify opportunities to optimize cloud resources and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment-related issues.
• Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and operational procedures

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with creating and managing Virtual Machines.
• Understanding of Google Cloud Storage.
• Knowledge of Load Balancers.
• Basic experience with Docker and containerization.
• Understanding of DNS and networking fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of serverless computing using Google Cloud Functions.
• Familiarity with Nginx as a web server and reverse proxy.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts, deployment pipelines, and rollback strategies.
• Basic knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
• Awareness of cloud cost optimization best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line operations.
• Hands-on experience through personal, academic, or open-source cloud projects.
• Google Cloud certifications or completion of Google Cloud learning paths are a plus.

Interview Process

Our selection process is designed to assess both technical expertise and cultural alignment:

1. Initial Conversation (30 minutes): Introduction, career aspirations, and behavioural assessment.
2. Group Technical & Case Study Assessment (60 minutes): Evaluation of problem-solving, system design,workflows, pipelines and applied coding through a structured case study.
3. Final Discussion (30 minutes): Role expectations, collaboration style, and growth opportunities.
