About the Role:
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure behind our web and
mobile products. Our platform runs on a microservices architecture deployed on AWS using Docker,
S3, and Lightsail, with MySQL and MongoDB powering our backend services. We also ship native
Android and iOS applications.
You'll be responsible for keeping our systems secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient while
building the automation and infrastructure that enables our engineering team to ship quickly and
confidently. As our platform grows, you'll play a key role in evolving our infrastructure toward more
robust orchestration, automation, and scaling strategies.

Responsibilities:
● Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend services, microservices, and web
applications.
● Set up and manage automated build and release pipelines for Android and iOS applications
using Fastlane, App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and related tools.
● Manage, monitor, and optimize AWS infrastructure including S3, Lightsail, EC2, IAM,
networking, and related cloud services.
● Containerize applications using Docker and manage multi-service deployments across
environments.
● Ensure database reliability across MySQL and MongoDB through backups, replication,
monitoring, and performance optimization.
● Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) for repeatable,
version-controlled infrastructure provisioning.
● Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as CloudWatch,
Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, or similar platforms.
● Improve deployment safety through blue-green deployments, canary releases, automated
rollbacks, and release automation.
● Strengthen platform security through secrets management, access controls, patch
management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening.
● Continuously optimize AWS resource utilization and cloud costs across development, staging,
and production environments.
● Collaborate closely with Backend, Mobile, QA, and Product Engineering teams to streamline
development, testing, and deployment workflows.
● Evaluate and implement future infrastructure improvements including container
orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes), service discovery, and platform automation.
● Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational runbooks, and incident response
procedures.

Requirements:
Must Have:
● 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure
Engineering.
● Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lightsail, EC2, IAM, VPC,
networking, and core cloud services.
● Solid experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
● Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins,
or similar tools.
● Experience supporting backend services and microservices in production environments.
● Strong experience managing relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL and MongoDB
(backups, scaling, replication, and performance tuning).
● Proficiency with Linux server administration and shell scripting (Bash).
● Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
● Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting best practices.
● Good understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS,
firewalls, and web security fundamentals.
● Strong communication skills with a collaborative, ownership-driven approach in a fast-paced
startup environment.

Bonus If You Have:
● Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS application releases using Fastlane.
● Experience with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.
● Experience migrating workloads from single-instance or Lightsail deployments to auto-scaling
or container orchestration platforms.
● Programming or automation experience using Python or Go.
● Experience with Redis, message queues, caching strategies, and service-to-service
communication in microservices.
● Familiarity with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog,
or similar tools.
● Experience using AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or similar secrets management
solutions.
● Experience optimizing AWS infrastructure costs and implementing FinOps best practices.
● Experience participating in production on-call rotations and incident response.
