platform, we're building robust engineering systems that power seamless ecommerce
experiences—from inventory and order management to payments, logistics, and customer
experience.

About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced Laravel Developer to help build and scale the systems that power
our ecommerce platform. You'll work on high-traffic applications handling everything from product
catalogs and checkout flows to payment processing, order fulfillment, and third-party integrations.
This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership—you'll build features that directly impact
revenue, operational efficiency, and customer experience. You'll be expected to own features
end-to-end, write clean and maintainable code, and make pragmatic decisions around performance,
scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:
● Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel and PHP 8+.
● Develop and optimize core ecommerce features including cart, checkout, product catalog,
pricing, promotions, inventory, and order management.
● Integrate and maintain third-party services including payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal,
Razorpay), shipping and logistics providers, tax systems, ERP platforms, and marketing tools.
● Build and consume RESTful APIs (and GraphQL where applicable) for web and mobile
applications.
● Optimize application performance, backend architecture, and database queries for
high-traffic, high-concurrency environments.
● Implement caching, queues, and background jobs using Redis and Laravel Horizon to ensure
platform reliability and speed.
● Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with meaningful unit and feature test
coverage using PHPUnit or Pest.
● Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
● Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features
end-to-end.
● Troubleshoot production issues, monitor application health, and continuously improve
system reliability.
● Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices (for
senior candidates).

Requirements:
Must Have:
● 7+ years of professional PHP development with strong hands-on experience in Laravel.
● Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and
common design patterns.
● Deep experience with Eloquent ORM, migrations, and relational database design
(MySQL/PostgreSQL).
● Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
● Experience working with Redis, queues, background jobs, and Laravel Horizon.
● Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex database queries.
● Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
● Experience writing automated tests using PHPUnit or Pest.
● Good understanding of web security best practices including authentication, authorization,
XSS, CSRF, SQL injection prevention, and input validation.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile
startup environment.

Bonus If You Have:
● Experience building or scaling ecommerce platforms (custom-built or using Magento,
Shopify, or WooCommerce).
● Experience integrating payment gateways with PCI-DSS compliance considerations.
● Frontend experience with Vue.js, React, Livewire, or Inertia.js.
● Experience with AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, or Docker-based deployments.
● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
● Experience with Elasticsearch, Meilisearch, message queues, or microservices architecture.
● Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Sentry, or Datadog.
● Contributions to open-source projects or an active GitHub profile.
