Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven 5+ years of Senior Data Engineer who can independently design, build, and deliver modern data platforms and analytics solutions. We are seeking professionals who can take ownership of projects from requirement gathering through architecture design, development, testing, and production deployment.

This role requires strong technical expertise along with the ability to work directly with clients, understand business challenges, and translate them into scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and data challenges.
• Design and implement end-to-end data architectures and modern data platforms.
• Build scalable and high-performance data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using modern cloud technologies.
• Design data models, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment and ongoing support.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Hands-on experience with: Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, Python
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience building scalable data engineering solutions in cloud environments.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data architecture patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, and deployment processes.

Functional Skills

• Ability to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading technical discussions and solution design workshops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI or other analytics/reporting platforms.
• Exposure to Snowflake, Delta Lake, or Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
• Azure certifications are a plus.
