Job Title: Forward Deployed Automation Developer

Duration: 12-Month W2 Assignment | Extension Possible

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Automation Developer/ AI Automation Engineer (AI & Finance Automation) to help transform Finance operations through the application of AI, intelligent automation, and modern engineering practices.

In this role, you will serve as an embedded technical partner to Finance stakeholders, working directly with business teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, and rapidly deploy production-ready automation. You will own projects from discovery and solution design through implementation, deployment, and operational support.

This is a hands-on builder role for individuals who thrive at the intersection of business process transformation, software engineering, and AI-driven automation.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Automation Developer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, AI Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong programming experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience building solutions using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, or intelligent automation technologies.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, automation platforms, and modern AI development environments.
• Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Ability to design solutions that incorporate security, governance, auditability, and compliance requirements.
• Experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and converting them into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting production systems in operationally critical environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Forward Deployed, Customer-Facing, Solutions Engineering, or Consulting environment.
• Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Audit, Treasury, Procurement, FP&A, or other regulated business functions.
• Experience delivering enterprise automation solutions from initial scoping through production deployment.
• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, intelligent automation platforms, and business process transformation initiatives.
• Experience working in environments with strong governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Partner directly with Finance and business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and production-ready solutions.
• Build resilient integrations across systems, applications, APIs, and data sources.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines that support reliable automation and decision-making.
• Implement governance, monitoring, auditability, approval workflows, and operational controls within automation solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business teams to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve solution performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, operating procedures, and implementation guides.
• Support critical business operations and participate in scheduled production support rotations during key reporting cycles.
• Drive adoption of automation solutions by ensuring usability, reliability, and measurable business value.
