About the job

Former Hygienists, Dental Assistants & Office Managers Welcome

Company: Dentistry Automation
Location: United States only
Preferred Markets: Minnesota, Midwest, or major dental markets
Role Type: Full-time, part-time, or contract-to-hire
Work Style: Field-based sales role with local dental office visits

About Dentistry Automation
Dentistry Automation helps dental practices reduce administrative and billing workload through insurance verification, claims support, payment posting, claim follow-up, and RCM automation.

Dental offices are under pressure from staffing shortages, insurance complexity, delayed payments, and front-desk burnout. We help practices operate more efficiently without adding more people.

We are growing our U.S. customer base and are looking for a dental industry professional who can visit dental offices, build trust with doctors and office managers, and introduce our services through in-person conversations, demos, and lunch-and-learns.

Role Overview

This is a field sales and relationship-building role for someone who understands dental offices and enjoys talking to people.

You will visit dental practices in your assigned market, introduce Dentistry Automation, identify offices struggling with insurance verification, claims, payment posting, or billing workload, and book qualified demos or lunch-and-learn meetings.

This is not a remote-only role. The right person should be comfortable walking into dental offices, speaking with front-desk teams, office managers, hygienists, assistants, treatment coordinators, billing teams, doctors, and practice owners.

Who Should Apply

This role may be a great fit if you are a:

  • Dental hygienist who enjoys relationships and wants to move into dental sales, consulting, or business development.
  • Dental assistant who understands practice workflow and wants a growth-oriented role outside the operatory.
  • Treatment coordinator who is comfortable speaking with patients, doctors, and office teams.
  • Insurance coordinator who understands benefits, eligibility, claims, and patient estimates.
  • Dental billing or RCM professional who knows where practices struggle operationally.
  • Dental office manager who wants to use practice knowledge in a more flexible, growth-focused role.
  • Dental sales representative or healthcare sales professional with experience selling into local practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit dental offices in your assigned market to introduce Dentistry Automation.
  • Build relationships with doctors, office managers, front-desk staff, treatment coordinators, hygienists, assistants, and billing teams.
  • Book qualified demos and lunch-and-learn sessions.
  • Explain how DA helps reduce insurance verification workload, claim follow-up burden, payment posting delays, and RCM inefficiencies.
  • Ask good discovery questions to understand the practice’s current workflow, pain points, software, staffing challenges, and decision-making process.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects through phone, email, text, and in-person visits.
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes, prospect status, next steps, and follow-up dates.
  • Identify high-potential practices, including private practices, orthodontic offices, Medicaid-heavy offices, out-of-network practices, and multi-location groups.
  • Represent Dentistry Automation professionally at local dental events, study clubs, dental society events, and conferences when needed.
  • Share prospect feedback with leadership, including objections, competitor mentions, pricing concerns, and product opportunities.

What Success Looks Like

  • You are comfortable visiting offices every week.
  • You can quickly build rapport with front-desk teams and office managers.
  • You can explain DA in plain English without sounding scripted.
  • You can turn a casual office visit into a scheduled demo or lunch-and-learn.
  • You follow up without needing to be chased.
  • You are organized, coachable, and comfortable using basic sales tools.
  • You bring back useful market feedback, not just activity updates.
  • Required Qualifications

  • U.S.-based candidate only.

  • 2+ years of experience in dental, healthcare, field sales, local business development, or customer-facing roles.

  • Comfortable visiting dental offices in person.

  • Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Professional presence and ability to represent the company well.

  • Reliable transportation for local office visits.

  • Comfortable using email, phone, text, calendar scheduling, and CRM tools.

  • Organized enough to track prospects, follow-ups, and next steps.

  • Strong Plus

  • Experience as a dental hygienist, dental assistant, office manager, treatment coordinator, insurance coordinator, billing specialist, or RCM team member.

  • Experience selling dental software, dental services, staffing, insurance-related services, dental supplies, RCM, or practice consulting.

  • Existing relationships with dental practices, DSOs, dental societies, consultants, or local dental networks.

  • Comfortable running lunch-and-learn presentations.

  • Familiarity with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, Curve, Cloud 9, or other dental practice management systems.

  • Understanding of insurance verification, claim follow-up, payment posting, EFT/ERA, aging claims, or patient billing.

  • Compensation

This role may be structured as full-time, part-time, or contract-to-hire depending on the candidate and market.

Compensation may include:

  • Base pay
  • Demo-booked bonuses
  • Lunch-and-learn completion bonuses
  • Closed-customer commissions
  • Monthly or quarterly revenue bonuses

Final compensation will depend on experience, location, schedule, and role structure.

Application Instructions

To apply, please submit your resume and answer the following three questions:

  1. What is your dental background, and why are you interested in moving into a field sales or growth role?
  2. Imagine you walk into a dental office and the front desk says, “We are too busy and the doctor is not available.” What would you say in the next 30 seconds?
  3. Please record a 60- to 90-second video introducing yourself and explaining why a dental office should take a 15-minute meeting with Dentistry Automation.

Applications without answers to all three questions may not be reviewed.

About the Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for someone who loves the dental industry but wants a broader career path with more flexibility, business exposure, sales upside, and growth potential.
You will be helping dental offices solve real operational problems while building a new sales motion for a fast-growing dental automation company.

Equal Opportunity Statement
