Office Manager Intern

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Office Manager Intern to support a fast-paced real estate investment and development firm. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across real estate investing, finance, entrepreneurship, construction, interior design, and business operations. No two days are the same, and you’ll gain exposure to every stage of the investment lifecycle—from sourcing acquisitions and underwriting deals to renovations, leasing, asset management, and ultimately positioning properties for sale.

One day you may be running to Home Depot to source materials or picking up supplies for an active renovation. The next, you could be speaking with lenders about DSCR financing, researching high cash-flow markets such as Greensboro, Greenville, and Fayetteville, discussing debt options for fix-and-flip projects or a Raleigh house-hack acquisition, negotiating pricing with subcontractors, or coordinating project timelines.

You’ll work alongside designers on renovation projects—whether selecting finishes for a bathroom remodel, designing a pergola and landscaping project, coordinating permits for a garage conversion into finished conditioned living space, or helping bring a property’s vision to life. You’ll also gain exposure to property management by collecting rent, communicating with tenants, coordinating maintenance, and helping ensure properties operate efficiently.

On the investment side, you’ll assist with underwriting acquisitions, preparing pro formas, researching comparable sales and rental markets, evaluating investment opportunities, coordinating strategy with real estate agents and brokers, positioning properties for reversion (sale), tracking renovation budgets, organizing accounting records, and supporting multiple growing businesses.

This is not a traditional internship. You’ll receive meaningful responsibility, contribute to real projects, and gain firsthand experience in acquisitions, finance, renovations, design, operations, marketing, sales, and entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day office operations and administrative functions.
• Coordinate calendars, meetings, appointments, and project timelines.
• Conduct market research related to acquisitions, financing, vendors, and business opportunities.
• Underwrite prospective real estate acquisitions.
• Prepare financial models, pro formas, and investment analyses.
• Research high cash-flow rental markets and emerging investment opportunities.
• Assist with lender outreach and financing research, including DSCR loans and fix-and-flip financing.
• Coordinate renovation projects from planning through completion.
• Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and service providers.
• Assist with permitting, inspections, and project documentation.
• Help coordinate interior design selections and finish schedules.
• Assist with landscaping, exterior improvements, and value-add projects.
• Support property management, rent collection, tenant communications, and maintenance coordination.
• Organize accounting records, receipts, invoices, and project budgets.
• Maintain digital files, databases, and company records.
• Assist with marketing initiatives, branding, and business development.
• Support sales efforts, lead management, and relationship building.
• Prepare presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and business documents.
• Improve internal systems and workflows.
• Take ownership of special projects as business needs evolve.
