here, period is a real-time app that connects women nearby when one of them could use a hand. Period supplies in a restaurant bathroom. A walk to a parking lot after a late shift. An uncomfortable situation where you just want someone nearby to know you're there. Open the app, tap "could use a hand," a woman nearby gets a quiet notification, she taps "I'm here." Anonymous until both people confirm. Under 90 seconds from alone to not alone.

74% of college women said they'd want something like this before it even existed. A Harvard team validated the concept in 2012. Nobody built it. We're building it now.

The brand, prototype, business model, campus partner outreach, and investor materials are all done. What we need is someone who can build the actual product.

What you'd be building
The core technical challenge is anonymous real-time proximity matching - connecting the right women, fast, without exposing anyone's location to people they haven't confirmed. The stack we're thinking: React Native for iOS and Android, Firebase or Supabase for real-time backend, phone verification and government ID on the backend for peace of mind, push notifications, anonymous in-app chat, and a community reporting system.

The MVP is focused. Core matching, supply onboarding, push notifications, anonymous chat. We don't need to build everything at once.

Who we're looking for
You've shipped a React Native app or equivalent to the App Store and Google Play. You've worked with real-time and location systems and you know the hard parts. You think about trust and safety as features not checkboxes - here, period connects women in vulnerable moments and the architecture has to reflect that. You can build a first version that's fast and scrappy without feeling cheap. And you believe this needs to exist.

What we're not looking for
Someone who just wants a co-founder role. The answer to why here, period specifically matters more than anything else on your resume.
