About the job
Kyron Medical builds AI voice agents and revenue-cycle automation for physician practices. When a patient calls their doctor's office, Kyron answers, schedules, routes, and handles the back-office billing work that normally eats a practice's staff time and margin. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing on contracts with health systems and physician groups rather than runway, which means every hire is deliberate and the person we bring on has genuine ownership from day one.
This is a remote role and you must be based in the US. You will own the technical stack end to end: the voice AI platform (real-time call handling, routing, latency and TTS tuning, agent architecture on Vogent plus LLM orchestration), the EHR and practice-management integrations, the revenue-cycle automation (claim submission, ERA parsing, denial management), the PostgreSQL data and reporting layer, and the reliability and security posture (SOC 2, HIPAA, BAAs) of systems that are live in front of paying customers today. Our stack is Next.js, TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Claude, and more. You don't need to have used all of it, but you need to be able to learn quickly.
This is a high-ownership environment and a fast-paced one, and we mean that plainly. You will not be handed a spec and a ticket queue. You will be the person who decides how things get built, makes the architectural calls, flags risks early, and keeps live customer systems up. The founder is also a full-time medical student, so this role genuinely requires someone who can run the technical show without hand-holding. When something breaks at a practice, you are the person who fixes it, and when we decide where the product goes next, you are in the room. If you want a role where you make the calls and see your work compound at a company that isn't racing a runway, this is it.
You're probably a fit if you have shipped production software with real reliability stakes, have owned a system rather than just contributed to one, and communicate clearly in writing. Strong bonus points for voice, telephony, or real-time audio experience (Twilio, Vapi, Retell, LiveKit) and for healthcare integration work (EHR APIs, HL7/FHIR, clearinghouse or RCM systems), because that domain pain is hard-won and we'll pay for it.
Above everything else, we want people who are responsive and open to learning.
