Sr. Full Stack Engineer - Tech Lead - PHP/Laravel

Location: Mexico (Remote)

Are you passionate about building scalable software while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence? We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, leading by example, and delivering high-impact products in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from design through production.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define priorities, timelines, and technical solutions.
• Design reliable APIs, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
• Improve engineering productivity through automation, internal tools, and platform improvements.
• Champion software quality, observability, security, and reliability.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) to improve development efficiency while maintaining high engineering standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, or similar technical leadership role.
• Strong backend development experience with PHP/Laravel (preferred) or Python/Django, Java/Spring Boot, or Go.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vuejs or React.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience designing and building REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Temporal, Camunda, Netflix Conductor, or similar).
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or ELK.
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments alongside Product and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Fluent English Mandatory - C1 level or above (written and spoken).
