About the job
Remote | Full-Time Contractor | Work From Anywhere
At Zima Media, we are not looking for someone to simply manage ad campaigns.
We are looking for a curious, client-facing marketer who wants to grow across the full digital growth system: acquisition, conversion, retention, and measurement.
Whether your background is in PPC, SEO, analytics, tracking, CRM, content, or another area of digital marketing, this role gives you the opportunity to work across real client projects, develop broader expertise, and take ownership of meaningful work.
We are a fully remote agency working with businesses around the world. Our team is small, collaborative, and supportive. You will work directly with experienced marketers, gain exposure to a wide range of projects, and have the freedom to shape your own career path.
This role is best suited for someone who already has solid digital marketing experience and wants to become a stronger, more complete growth marketer.
Why Join Zima Media?
Work From Anywhere
We have been fully remote since day one.
Whether you prefer working from home, a co-working space, a coffee shop, or while travelling, we care about results, communication, and quality of work — not where you work from.
You can work from anywhere, but you should be able to overlap with European and/or North American working hours for client calls and team communication.
Learn Across The Full Growth System
Many agencies hire specialists and keep them in a narrow lane. We do things differently.
You will have opportunities to build skills across the full digital growth system, including:
Acquisition: Google Ads, Meta Ads, paid social, paid search, SEO, and demand generation.
Conversion: Landing pages, website strategy, CRO, offer testing, and customer journey improvement.
Retention & CRM: Email marketing, CRM automation, lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and customer value growth.
Measurement & Tracking: Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, server-side tracking, attribution, reporting, and performance diagnostics.
Digital Strategy & Consulting: Marketing strategy, growth roadmaps, client communication, prioritization, and cross-channel decision-making.
You will work on real client accounts while being supported by experienced team members who want to help you succeed.
Real Ownership
You will work directly with clients, contribute to strategy, solve problems, and help move projects forward.
We trust our team members to take initiative, own their work, communicate clearly, and make practical recommendations. If you enjoy responsibility and want to make a genuine impact, you will fit well here.
What Growth Can Look Like At Zima Media
One of our team members joined with a background primarily in SEO and limited paid advertising experience. Within their first year, they developed expertise across Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, analytics, conversion tracking, and server-side tracking, becoming one of the agency’s go-to specialists in those areas.
We believe the best way to learn is through real client work, supported by experienced team members who are invested in your success.
What A Typical Week Looks Like
No two weeks look exactly the same. That is part of the job.
A typical week might include optimizing a Google Ads campaign, reviewing tracking data to understand a drop-off in a checkout funnel, joining a client strategy call, improving a landing page, reviewing CRM automation opportunities, and helping a teammate troubleshoot an analytics issue.
You will move between disciplines often, sometimes within the same day. That variety is part of what makes the role interesting, but it also means real context-switching.
This is not a narrow execution-only role. You will need to switch between platforms, client communication, analysis, troubleshooting, and strategy. That variety is part of the opportunity, but it also requires independence, curiosity, and strong organization.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, launch, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media platforms.
- Develop digital growth strategies aligned with client goals, business objectives, and commercial constraints.
- Analyze performance across acquisition, conversion, retention, and measurement to identify growth opportunities.
- Work on landing pages, funnel improvements, CRM workflows, lifecycle campaigns, and conversion rate optimization initiatives.
- Create ad copy, creative briefs, audience recommendations, testing plans, and campaign improvement ideas.
- Collaborate across paid media, SEO, analytics, tracking, CRM, CRO, and strategy to solve client problems as a connected system.
- Help troubleshoot campaign, tracking, analytics, attribution, and reporting issues.
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for selected client accounts, with support from senior team members where needed.
- Join client calls, communicate progress, explain recommendations, and help turn performance data into practical next steps.
- Stay current with industry trends, AI, automation, privacy changes, tracking, and emerging marketing technologies.
- Take ownership of projects and contribute ideas that improve client performance, internal processes, and the way we deliver growth.
Team & Reporting
You will report directly to our founders, but day-to-day you will operate with a lot of independence.
You will help manage selected client relationships, run calls, own next steps, make recommendations, and keep work moving forward rather than operating through multiple layers of approval.
We are not a micromanaging culture. We trust people to own their accounts and come to us when they need input, not the other way around.
That autonomy is a feature, not a gap. It means this role suits someone comfortable making recommendations, communicating clearly, and flagging issues proactively rather than waiting for detailed direction on every task.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, PPC, SEO, analytics, CRM, CRO, or a related field.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients.
- Able to turn data, feedback, and business context into clear recommendations.
- Organized enough to manage multiple projects, clients, and priorities at the same time.
- Bonus Points
- Google Tag Manager experience.
- Analytics or tracking knowledge.
- SEO experience.
- CRM or email marketing automation experience.
- CRO or landing page optimization experience.
- Basic HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge.
- Experience working directly with clients.
- Experience with AI tools, automation, or marketing technology.
- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is curious, ambitious, and excited to develop their skills.
About Zima Media
Founded in 2017, Zima Media is a fully remote digital marketing agency that has helped more than 3,000 businesses worldwide grow online.
Our work has been featured by major publications including CNBC, Business Insider, and the Fiverr Blog.
We believe great work can happen from anywhere, and that talented people deserve the freedom to build careers that fit their lives.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
Compensation is $2,000–$3,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, location, and level of client-facing responsibility.
This is a full-time remote contractor role.
We are looking for a strong mid-level marketer or high-potential specialist who wants to grow across paid media, analytics, tracking, CRM, CRO, and digital strategy.
For exceptional candidates with deeper specialist expertise or stronger client leadership experience, we are open to discussing compensation.
Flexible Working Hours
We do not believe great work only happens between 9 and 5.
Most team members work roughly 40 hours per week, but we focus on outcomes rather than clock-watching. As long as client work is delivered to a high standard and communication remains strong, you will have the flexibility to structure your day in a way that works for you.
Time Off
We offer unlimited PTO, used responsibly.
We encourage our team to take time away from work to recharge, travel, spend time with family, or simply take a break when needed.
Growth & Development
One of the biggest benefits of working at Zima Media is the opportunity to continuously learn and develop new skills.
You will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of digital marketing while working on real client projects. You will also work alongside experienced marketers who are happy to share knowledge, answer questions, and help you grow.
As you develop, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, specialize in areas that interest you, and progress into more senior roles within the company.
Additional Benefits
- Fully remote work.
- Work from anywhere in the world.
- Unlimited PTO.
- Additional company holidays throughout the year.
- Dedicated learning and professional development time.
- Direct mentorship from experienced marketers.
- Exposure to multiple areas of digital marketing.
- Opportunities to grow into more senior and specialized roles.
- Small team culture with direct access to leadership.
Our Hiring Process
- We try to keep this simple, transparent, and respectful of your time.
- Apply with your CV and LinkedIn profile.
- Complete a short application survey so we can better understand your experience, interests, communication style, and what kind of work you are looking for.
- We review applications and aim to respond within 14 days. Due to application volume, we may only follow up with candidates selected for the next step.
- Interview 1: an informal chat. This is as much for you to learn about us as it is for us to learn about you.
- Short practical task. If there is a strong fit after the first call, we may ask you to complete a small task related to real client work, such as reviewing a campaign, identifying growth opportunities, or explaining how you would approach a marketing problem. The task should take no more than 60–90 minutes.
- Final call with the wider team, if you are selected to move forward.
- Job offer and contract.
A Note About AI
We believe AI is one of the most important tools in modern marketing, and we encourage our team to use it.
However, we are hiring people, not prompts.
We value original thinking, curiosity, communication skills, judgment, and personality. We review every application carefully and can usually tell when responses have been heavily generated by AI without much personal input.
Use AI if it helps you communicate more clearly. Just make sure the thinking, examples, and judgment are yours.
A Final Note
We are less interested in finding someone who already knows everything and more interested in finding someone who is excited to learn.
Some of our strongest team members joined with experience in one area of marketing and have since developed expertise across advertising, analytics, tracking, SEO, strategy, and client management.
If you are curious, ambitious, enjoy solving problems, and want to accelerate your growth as a marketer, we would love to hear from you.
