POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Mechanical Project Manager | HVAC, Piping & Plumbing Construction
Are you a proven Mechanical Project Manager looking to lead high-impact commercial and industrial projects from concept to completion? We are seeking a driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys taking ownership of complex HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects while building strong relationships with clients, field teams, and industry partners.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to oversee projects, influence project success, and play a key role in delivering quality mechanical systems that make a lasting impact.
What You'll Do:
- Lead mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring successful execution of HVAC, piping, and plumbing scopes.
- Transition awarded projects from estimating to operations and drive project startup activities.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, procurement, and equipment tracking.
- Coordinate engineering, drafting, submittals, shop drawings, fabrication schedules, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with Superintendents, Operations teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage project costs, profitability, forecasting, and change orders while identifying value engineering opportunities.
- Review and approve invoices, payment applications, warranty documentation, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Travel to project sites as required to oversee progress, attend meetings, and support successful project execution.
What We're Seeking:
- Proven experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, and change order administration.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and project management platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
