Cyber Security Engineer - Unpaid Internship

About the Role

Join Dynamic Active, a mission-driven EdTech startup building an AI-powered teacher evaluation and classroom observation software. As a Cybersecurity Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside our engineering team to help secure our platform, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems while gaining real-world experience in product security.

What You'll Do

Help identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across our applications and cloud infrastructure.
Assist with securing our cloud infrastructure, authentication, and access management.
Perform vulnerability assessments and security testing.
Research emerging AI security risks, including prompt injection and data privacy.
Collaborate with engineers to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Assist with security documentation, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives (SOC 2, NIST, FERPA, COPPA).
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
A good understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, web security, or application security concepts.
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, or Java.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
Passion for cybersecurity, AI, and educational technology.
