Your responsibilities will include:
This unique Product Development role works collaboratively to support our Design and Merchandising Teams, sharing responsibilities, and to be successful you should have experience in apparel design. You will leverage your skills from design, product management, and product development.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Work consistently with our domestic and international teams to drive seasonal assortments.
- Time and Action Management: Efficiently manage the calendar, workflow, and processes within the vertical.
- Tech Pack Review: Ensure accurate and high-quality Illustrator-based Tech Packs by reviewing and approving them.
- Sample Evaluation: Assist in evaluating and commenting on samples from start to finish, including initial concept design, for bulk production.
- Design Aesthetic Understanding: Have a strong understanding of design aesthetic intent for product approval, alerting design to any discrepancies.
- Production Libraries Maintenance: Maintain current production libraries of blanks, colors, and fabrications.
- PLM Accuracy: Be accountable for ensuring the accuracy of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system at all times.
- Create Design Roadmap: Using your Design knowledge and experience to scalable artwork execution.
You should have:
- 4+ years of experience in apparel product design, development or production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required.
- Bilingual Chinese or Spanish is a plus.
- Technical capability and strong product knowledge of apparel construction and production to confidently influence decisions (Garment construction, fabric construction, knowledge of embellishments).
- Demonstrated excellent time-management and prioritization skills while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and organizational skills; ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
