Sales Associate

Overview:
Our company specializes in Steel, and we're looking for a new Steel sales broker.
Part-time to Full-time. Flexible scheduling with weekends off.
We offer base hourly wages plus commissions on all new client sales.
We have an office in Chagrin falls with a small team ready to support and assist new team members. Some training and new client prospects will be available.

We mostly provide materials to Welders, Fabricators and Builders working on specific projects, with specific material requirements. In this role, you will engage with diverse clients, provide exceptional customer service, and support sales goals through your enthusiasm and product knowledge. Your proactive approach will ensure a positive shopping experience while contributing to the overall success of our business. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills and gain valuable experience in commercial sales and financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that best suit their needs.
• Process transactions accurately using invoicing and bill of lading documents.
• Support sales initiatives by promoting our business and the availability of our products on hand.
• Maintain a clean detailed list of new and old customers.
• Handle basic math calculations for transaction material quantities and the total cost.
• Use software systems to record sales, update customer information, and process payments efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, RFQs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Find the materials requested by the customer as well as a freighting service to deliver it to them. - ---- Respond to emails and request for materials quotes promptly.
• Expand our growing business by prospecting new customers in the Steel industry. Requirements

Prior experience in sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.
Basic math skills including retail math, some knowledge on generating computerized documents is preferred.
Strong communication skills to engage with customers confidently and professionally.
Ability to process customer & vendor invoicing.
Follow up with new and old customers to generate business transactions. This involves phone calls, emails and in person visits to new prospects.
