Machine Operator - Plastics Injection Molding

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Machine Operator specializing in Plastics Injection Molding to join our manufacturing team in Grand Haven, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastics injection molding machines efficiently and safely.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Perform routine inspections and quality checks on molded parts.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize production and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or defects.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating plastics injection molding machines preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours on ocassions.

Working Conditions

This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
