Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

**Job Title: Embedded Software Design and Verification Engineer

Location: Mossville, IL

Experience Level: 1-5 years

Key Responsibilities

Develop, configure, and test control algorithms and diagnostic logic using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
Perform model‑based design (MBD), simulation, and validation for embedded control systems
Generate embedded‑ready code using Embedded Coder or similar tools
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, systems, embedded SW) to integrate and validate features
Support system‑level debugging, calibration, and performance tuning
Ensure compliance with Automotive/Off‑Highway software development standards and workflows

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
1–5 years of industry experience in Automotive, Off‑Highway, Heavy Machinery, or related embedded domains
Strong hands‑on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and model‑based development
Experience with embedded control systems, signal processing, or diagnostics
Understanding of embedded software fundamentals, real‑time systems, and control theory
Ability to read and interpret C code (generated or hand‑written)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Matlab, Simulink, AUTOSAR, CAN, J1939, or similar communication protocols
Exposure to HIL/SIL/MIL testing
Familiarity with ISO 26262, functional safety, or similar standards
Experience in Off‑Highway or heavy equipment domain (Caterpillar, John Deere, CNH, etc.)
