About the job
We build the AI that major franchise headquarters use to coach every location in their network. You're the one who makes it work inside their world.
Think about a brand like a national fast food chain, swim school, gym, or wax studio. The headquarters doesn't own the hundreds—sometimes thousands—of locations operating under its name; independent owners do. But HQ is responsible for the performance of the whole network, and they steer it through a small field team of coaches, each accountable for dozens or hundreds of those locations.
It's a fascinating structure, and a hard one. Those coaches can't be everywhere, and they're buried in data flowing up from across the network—sales, customer reviews, audits, compliance records—with no clear answer to the only question that matters: what should this specific location do this week to improve? So coaching becomes educated guesswork.
Harmonyze is the platform franchise headquarters use to fix that. We're the performance coaching platform for franchise brands, and we sell to the brands themselves. Every day, our platform reads everything a brand tracks across its network and turns it into contextualized, prescriptive guidance: where each location should focus, why it matters, and exactly what to do next. It's working, network-wide, at headquarters across fast food, fitness, wellness, and home services, including brands like Goldfish Swim School, European Wax Center, The Picklr, and HomeFront Brands.
We're built in New York and backed by some of the most respected AI seed funds, alongside operators who know this industry cold. Franchising is more than $800B across hundreds of thousands of locations, and modern AI has barely touched it. We're a small team moving quickly to change that.
We're hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to own the technical and strategic relationship with these brands: take a customer from signed contract to a live, trusted Harmonyze deployment, and keep deepening it as we ship new capabilities.
The role
This is equal parts engineering and consulting, and the consulting half is what makes it special.
On the technical side, you're configuring and extending a mature platform—we've already built 200+ integrations—not wiring up every connector from scratch. You'll connect a brand's systems, shape how their data maps into Harmonyze, and configure how the platform reads their specific operation, with a full engineering team and a CS team behind you.
On the consultative side, you sit with the data, operations, and executive teams of household-name brands and work out how they actually measure performance—their metrics, their goals, the levers that move their business—then translate that into how Harmonyze coaches their network. You're a trusted technical partner to people running some of the largest operations in the country.
What you'll do
- Own deployments end to end, from kickoff to live, as the technical lead a customer's ops, data, and IT teams work with.
- Connect and configure their systems. Integrate POS, financial, scheduling, and operational tools, and write the SQL and transformation logic that maps their data cleanly into the platform.
- Translate strategy into configuration. Understand how each brand defines success and set Harmonyze up so its guidance reflects their reality, not a generic template.
- Deepen accounts over time. As we ship new capabilities, layer them into existing customers so they keep getting more value.
- Partner with engineering and product. You see what's hard about every deployment; turn those patterns into better tooling and flag real product gaps.
- Support technical sales when it counts. Mostly you're post-sale, but you'll occasionally help prove feasibility or scope an integration on a promising deal.
You'll write code every day, in service of configuration and integration rather than product features. We're deeply AI-native in how we work, and we want someone excited to work that way too.
What we're looking for
- Customer-facing technical delivery experience: solutions or forward-deployed engineering, implementation, technical consulting, or integrations. You've owned deployments and stayed until they worked.
- Genuinely technical. Strong SQL, comfortable writing integration code (Python or similar), and fluent in how APIs, auth, and data pipelines work in the real world.
- Strong business intuition. You can sit with a VP of Operations, understand how they think about performance, and turn it into data structures and configuration.
- Clear communicator with anyone from line-level analysts to CTOs.
- Enterprise-ready. You understand what SOC 2 and customer data obligations mean in practice and work cleanly within them.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and real-world data, and you own outcomes rather than waiting for a playbook.
- Excited to work AI-native, using AI tools to move faster and helping make each deployment smarter than the last.
Strong pluses
- Familiarity with franchise, retail, restaurant, or multi-unit operations.
- Experience with BI tools, data warehouses, or operational reporting.
- B2B SaaS background, especially early-stage or customer-facing roles.
- Exposure to pre-sales or technical discovery.
- Hands-on with LLM-powered products or modern data/AI tooling.
Why Harmonyze
- Real traction, real ownership. Real enterprise customers and meaningful revenue already in place. You'll shape how our entire deployment motion scales.
- A seat at the table with household names. You'll work directly with the data and executive teams of brands everyone knows, on problems that matter to their business.
- Support to do it well. A strong engineering team, a CS team, and 200+ integrations already built behind you.
- NYC-based, hybrid, with some customer travel.
How we'll hire
- An informal conversation about what you've built and deployed, and how you like to work.
- A practical exercise drawn from real Harmonyze deployments—structuring and configuring a customer's data, and talking through how you'd navigate the engagement. No algorithm trivia.
Tools you'll use: SQL, Python (or similar), REST/GraphQL APIs and common auth flows, AWS, and modern data/AI tooling.
Come be the person who turns a brand's complexity into a live system their whole network depends on.
This is a NYC-based role with highly competitive cash and equity. Harmonyze is post-product-market-fit, well-capitalized, and working as a pioneering partner to household-name brands.
