About the job
We are a stealth AI lab building production infrastructure for the publishing. We are disrupting industries worth hundreds of billions of dollars and we are doing it with a minimal budget.
Repeat founder, multiple exits, product is live. Details after an intro call.
Read this before applying
This is not a corporate job. No politics, no performance reviews, no LinkedIn-speak. We're not hiring "team players." Being relentlessly nice is what people do as insurance when their work can't speak for itself.
We want hardcore people who keep building through a bad week, a bad month, a day job, whatever. If you're optimizing for weekend time, stop reading.
The role
You run the engine room. We use Trello and Scrum, and you'll own both:
Run sprints: planning, standups, retros, the whole ceremony, minus the corporate theater
Keep the Trello board honest. A board full of stale cards is a crime scene and you're the detective
Track deadlines the developers set for themselves, then hold them to those deadlines like they're carved in stone
Surface blockers early, chase down answers, keep the founder out of the weeds
Coordinate across AI, product, and data workstreams
This job is part project manager, part stern mother. The developers will love you and slightly fear you. That's the correct amount of both.
What we don't care about
Your degree. How many frameworks you can name-drop. Big corporate or high tech company names you have worked for.
What we do care about
You're organized to the point of mild obsession. You're dedicated. You're not a wimp. When a developer misses the deadline they set themselves, you don't send a gentle nudge emoji, you get on a call and crack the whip. You hold your ground with people who are smarter than you in their domain, because the schedule is your domain.
Communication is the single most important thing here. You prove you're working by showing up loud: updates, status, problems flagged early. If you can't communicate well, post regular progress updates, and complete your hours, you'll be gone within a week. If you're unsure about any of this, don't apply.
If you're in an ambulance, we expect a text from the ambulance. Coma is the only accepted excuse for radio silence. That's a joke. Mostly.
Scrum certification
Working toward CSM, PSM, or PMI hours? We're happy to help you log real Scrum hours running real sprints on a real product. Far better on a resume than a classroom simulation.
The upside
If you join and actually work hard, there's a real chance you end up rich. Not in a quarter, not in a year. Eventually, through hard work and sacrifice. We've taken companies to exits before. No promises, but the people who go through the fire are the ones standing there when it pays out.
Compensation
Equity-only. 20 hours per week minimum, no exceptions. You should be financially stable enough that this is exciting rather than terrifying. If you need a salary today, don't apply. If you want it, apply with a few sentences on the most chaotic project you've ever wrangled into shipping. No cover letters. In fact theres a better chance that you put money into the pot then we pay salaries before funding. That would be the smart thing to do. That being said we are going to actively look for funding within weeks.
